BBandBBallFan
Not all record here, but rather the coach as a role model and getting the most out of his crew? Who has placed the most players in Division 1 or 2 in past years?

PTSportsWriter
Calvin Decker over at Morristown East usually gets a lot of what talent he has, or doesn't.
Fromrange
Coach Eldridge at Anderson County has to be on the list. Talk about getting the most out of your players, AC is always competetive against more talented teams such as Clinton, Oak Ridge,Maryville, and Alcoa. And in many cases they come out on the winning end. AC has also won their district 5 straight years. Coach Eldridge has to be on the list of best coaches in not only East Tennessee but in all of Tennessee.
BBandBBallFan
Calvin Decker over at Morristown East usually gets a lot of what talent he has, or doesn't. 825501721[/snapback] Good choice.....May be the most under-rated coach and most under-rated team (Morristown East) in East Tennessee? Morristown East may be more loaded than people think, and young too! Greenville thumped them, but otherwise they look solid. Greenville may have the best defense in high school bball. Watch for them to win the region if they can get past SHill. Edited December 31, 2004 by BBandBBallFan

mountaindew10
boys, it's gotta be Charlie Bayless of Happy Valley. He's been coaching for quite awhile.
noonesfool
George Pitts
atn301
George Pitts coaches at Brentwood Academy, which, unless it has been relocated (the tsunami was in the Indian Ocean, right?) is in Williamson County, TN--a county that is as much Middle TN as is possible. Now, one will not argue the ability of Mr. Pitts with his having won state championships at both the public (Science Hill) & private (BA) levels, but lets at least get our geography correct. P.S. - I don't know who the best coach in East TN is, but most definately the award for the greatest motivator by way of his shoes is Perry Hull of Sequoyah. Air Force Ones? No one can contain such style and grace. Also, Bob Williams of Walker Valley, with his suddenly tightening shirts (festive holiday weight gain?), should recieve some sort of fashion award.
