I have to agree with you all. Coach Carter relates to the young generation and it's center around getting your school work done. In my opinion, this movie teaches young people that the BOOKS comes first. I took my youth basketball team to see this movie and they realized that a good education is better then playing ball.

Hoosiers and Coach Carter are by far the best basketball movies i've seen..

How could you forget the recent movie "Like Mike". Okay, so the movie wasn't great and completely unrealistic, but it was basketball. And there was an older movie with Dan Akroyd and Damon Wayans called Celtic Pride. Anyone see that one?

Last year's Unaka Rangers had a Hoosier-quality about them too

my favorites are. Love and Basketball and 6th Man...but I have heard only good things about Coach Carter...Also, very good basketball orientated books is the Tears Of A Tiger Trilogy, I cried like a baby.

Hoosiers is the best basketball movie, but Coach Carter is a very close second. I love it when he gives the talk before the finals game(or maybe substate), but my favorite part is when they look at the measurements of the gym at state. Also, Jimmy Chitwood is a bad white boy. They probably based him off Larry Bird.
