Oakland[/url'>' date='Feb 11 2005 - 04:37 PM']tonight isnt just a game bewteen 2 great teams, its a game that celebrates boro basketball at it its finest. usually i go for the big speech in a game like this but will refrain from doing so because i know Oakland sure as heck wont need any motivation to win this game, like hoolie said earlier in the week: "if your not pumped about this game, then your not human"

 

a lot of the guys from siegel used to call Oakland their ole stomping grounds, but unlike most of the most students that currently attend OHS, i hold no ill will towards. them all of them are great guys and things like the last 2 games hurts me because the guys are all great guys. i hope siegel plays their best and that Oakland plays their best game and may the best team win

bout to leave thouse in about half an hour(basically live with walking distance from siegel) so ill be there bout an hour before the girls game even starts

Siegel played by far their best game of the year tonight ... everyone on the the team hustled all 32 minutes and gave it their all ... tonights performance answered any doubts anyone had about Siegels heart/discipline ... they came out and showed murfreesboro who the true champions are

 

Oakland played decent until they got into foul trouble late in the game ... I was very impressed with #12's performance tonight

 

Now, Siegel must keep this going into the district tourney where they will face Warren Co.

i echo your semtiments. oakland didnt play their best, but i thought we played well enough to win(minus certain parts in the 4th quarter) in the end, lack of support scoring wise was our undoing, that and the fact that siegel's offense was nothing short of amazing.

 

the #12 of which you speak of is chiasson allen, a poing guard who is just a sophmore, you could make a case that tonight was the best game hes played all year, the same could be said about devin as well.

 

congrats to siegel, you guys stepped and showed why you guys are a state ranked team

i couldnt help to smile when jimmy was getting pumped after scoring some big points, and lucas jones throwing his hands up to get the NATION pumped when oakland started chanting "traitor" ... and best of all, Lucas holding up the "number 1" in the closing seconds

never been a big fan of traitor chants, regardless of the player or the team. for 3 quarters, this was a great game and then siegel just took over in the 4th. but i was happy with the way oakland played, not many teams can beat siegel when they play like that

Lets "break it on down" lets see...starters "basically" consist of 5 juniors and one senoir...all getting back...getting motivated...their game was brought to a new level.....ok pats...no more garbage chants...its hard to get beat by a (garbage) state ranked team 2 times...anyway now that its off my chest...District 7-AAA Regular Season Champs....NUFF SAID
