I remember playing in the one in 1980. I was on the orange team team and we were up 18-0 at the half and ended up getting beat 22-18. What a Bummer!!! I played the whole game at LB and FB and was worn smack dab out after that game, but it was fun. Ron Summey was our coach and Mickey Wilson was the black coach. Funny part about in the film room Coach Grider got on to me for missing a block on the kickoff that Zalmer Chubb ran back for a TD. LOL.. That was just his way of coaching!!!

Playing teams so far away is not idea, right now at our rural schools money is an important necessary for our sports programs. The Seq. one makes no sense to me. I have no clue why they won't play, great game a close. Having to travel to Chattanooga and Rockwood is fine enough. Polk and Tellico are good pick ups. I am not necessarily a fan of the Copper Basin game, but at least they will play. I remember having to play Alcoa, Rhea Co. and other good programs. Those were tough years. I think we need to focus on building a program and gaining some revenue before venturing out.

He throws mid 70s with decent off speed stuff. Nothing over powering but he throws a lot of strikes and makes the other team put it in play. They’ve got a pretty good field behind him and don’t make a lot of errors. Should be a good game tomorrow!

Thursday, the ORHS Concert Band will give a free concert at 6 pm at the Civic Center. What could be better than a Wildcat scrimmage followed by a Wild Band concert? Roll Wildcats Roll! RWR!

I heard a rumor that Barb Campbell is coming out of retirement to take the Hickman County job. Heard she thinks it's the best chance she would have at winning a State Championship this coming year.

It was time to make some repairs for safety sake. Kudos to the leadership for making it financially as painless as possible.
