  1. Wayyyy too simple! Easy to understand... better to develop/continue rivalry games... easier to determine/maintain regional matchups while minimizing excessive travel times/distances. No legitimate reason not to go to this format, so basically it has zero chance of happening. FWIW... I think it's the best option hands down, but I ain't in charge.

  2. Very little competition for Martin on that side of bracket. Don’t see any teams that can beat them.

  3. I'm going with Pickett County this year. Pickett and Wayne are the 2 best 1a teams imo.

  4. And many don't think AE will be any good because they haven't been good the last 4 years. I've been trying to tell them. Now once Stevens come in and talk to those ZONED 8th graders , its OVER because he will be sure they attend AE. I'm telling yall Stevens and or Graham no matter who got the head coaching spot, would be good for AE. Not only as the head coach of the team but always the AE community and school

  5. I knew there would be a hater that crawled from under a rock at some point lol. Coaches don't choose what district they play in. At the end of the day i do know this team grew a lot this year and took care of business period.

  6. Happy for the AE program, school and community to have Coach Stevens back. He did it before and can do it again. That 8th grade team was better than good. AE Runners will be competitive again soon.

  7. If you are talking about running back at McKenzie, it could possibly only be two players. Of these two, both should get plenty of carries next year if they want to put in the work in the off season. I will nose around this situation.

  11. So, last night was a night of pleasant surprises... We played Greeneville in the season finale last night. The injured Hannah Frye started the game for us. I was sitting there kind of perplexed wondering what was going on. Greeneville wins the opening tip and goes down and scores uncontested. We hand the ball back to the Greeneville player on the inbounds who scores again. 4-0 Greeneville. We inbound the ball to Hannah who walks down and scores. Greeneville hands the ball to her again and she scores again. 4-4. Game is stopped for recognition as Hannah reached 1,000 for her career. I had no clue when she suffered the season ending injury against Wise Central, she was that close to 1K. Classy move by Greeneville and the game officials for allowing this to happen last night. As for the game itself, we won 66-61. As the boys game is set to begin, Caroline Hill and Hannah brought me and my wife a Thank you Card and a $25 gift card signed by our eight seniors just for being supporters and for not missing a game over their tenure. I don't have a daughter on the team. We're just fans. It brought tears to our eyes that they thought of us like that. What an amazing group of young ladies. Hoping Saturday is the beginning of a long and successful post season run for these girls. Not going to lie, getting to the glass house will be a tall task with Bearden and Farragut in that same sectional. And even Sevier County being in the same region. But these girls proved a lot of folks wrong that they wouldn't win the conference after Hannah's injury.

  12. The problem with concessions, like everything else nowadays, is the cost. $3 for a bottle of pop is crazy!

  13. As someone who now works at a DII institution in administration, but once upon a time was a teacher and coached middle school football in an MNPS school that was competing for the city every year, this is how it works.

  15. I applaud you for supporting your team but you do not always have your facts straight. Bradley and Cleveland do not play for a chance to go to the Boro. They will meet in the Region Tournament. The winner will host a Boro team and the loser will travel to a Boro team for sub-state and a chance to play at the glass house. As for being “weakest” at the post position, I believe Fields proved last year that she is one of the best, if not the best, post player in the largest class of TN girls basketball.

  16. Like I always say, bradley dont rebuild they just reload. Like Alabama football Even being I. District 6 now should still be easy route to state. Except now bradley and cleveland can play each other for chance to go to the boro. Is that new lady a post player because that's the one position bradley was "weakest" at. But with Kimora fields only being a sophomore now she'll be a triple threat for the next 3 years.
