  1. Very true, but with the snail's pace it's taken them to complete a small section around Union City, I'll be surprised if I ever see it go all the way to Memphis. Maybe the added boost from Blue Oval City will kick things into a higher gear for TDOT's West TN projects, but that remains to be seen.
  2. Honestly, I think Dyersburg is one of the best kept economic secrets in the state given its location at the intersection of US 51, US 412, and Interstate 155. Most of the direct growth from Blue Oval will be in Haywood, Tipton, and Fayette Counties, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if there's some spillover up this way.
  3. Go D-BRUG!!! One of the best playoff games I've ever attended!
  4. I think the top 2 are head and shoulders above the rest this year. I've also been really impressed with Crockett so far. I'm gonna try to make it over there to catch their game against Dyer Co. in a couple of weeks.
  5. Beech 37-14 Brentwood 31-16 Hendersonville 45-7 Station Camp 24-13
  6. I’m leaning towards Brentwood as a clear favorite here, but I’m hoping for a good game and I believe the Patriots are capable of it.
  7. Dyersburg is very good this year. After a couple games I believe the hype. Lake Co will have easier days.
  8. I know Riverside is very good this year, but this one surprised me.
  9. Great game Trojans! And best of luck to the Choctaws going forward!
  10. I plan on being in attendance for this one. Looking forward to a solid matchup, but I'm expecting a sound W for the Trojans in the end. Best of luck, gentlemen!
  11. Impressive showing. Milan is never much of a slouch.
  12. Thanks man, appreciate it. There doesn't seem to be much of a D-burg presence on here.
  13. I know you're a Milan guy, but are you aware of any preseason scrimmages or jamborees DHS will be involved in?
  14. I live in Dyersburg and plan on catching some games this year. Any word on what's expected from them? Seems like I read in another thread they have a lot of returnees from last season.
  15. Lol you've always seemed to be a pretty reasonable poster. That's why I was asking about the Wilco and Montgomery tangents. Don't you think it's gonna be a much tougher road in your new region?
  16. Lol true. It's hard to tell if they are happy or sad about the Clarksville schools leaving. I've seen mixed messages, but no doubt they will have a tougher road now. Personally I think they will sorely miss how easy their regions have been.
  17. I don't get the impression that West TN struggles as badly as some other posters do. There aren't as many year-in-year-out dominant programs in West TN, but that probably comes down to luck as much as anything. Otherwise, there have been some excellent programs produced by West TN over the years. Union City, Peabody, Lake County, Henry County, Milan, Whitehaven, Germantown, Huntingdon, McKenzie, USJ, Melrose, etc. West, TN is a lot of open space and a lot of small towns. But they hold their own I think. And the Memphis schools have many of the same problems as the Nashville schools, although to arguably an even greater degree. That is a very difficult school system to coach/teach in from what I hear and see.
  18. I hope he does well there. Gallatin deserves a winner, and he seems to be one.
  19. I sincerely gotta ask, what is your issue with Wilco? This ain't the first time I've seen you jump all over that system. You seem to have an axe to grind with them and Montgomery County both.
  20. Sort of like when they used to scrimmage Milan every year. I still wish Haywood and HC would renew the series. It would be THE marquee game in West TN most years. But that’s a tough schedule already. Riverdale and Brentwood on top of their big 3 region opponents. Yikes.
  21. Pulling for Page, but expecting a W for West.
  22. This will be interesting to see what direction Gallatin goes. If he resigned to take a Clarksville job I wonder how his standing was with the Gallatin administration.
  23. Tried to multi-quote @MJG0LDENBEARS and @MSURacer but I don't know how the heck that thing is supposed to work. @CoachT if you got any pointers, help a guy out. I can see how to quote multiple posts, but I don't see how to paste it anywhere. Anyway, I agree with both of yall to an extent. Didn't know HC was down that many players against Kenwood, so true that game is meaningless, but I still think Springfield is riding sky high right now. They will be tough to beat at home.
