Ooltewah New Coach is?

Well boys and girls Benny Monroe is your new head football coach at Ooltewah. Was probably the leading canidate the whole time for the job. I heard rumor of other names but never really found any surface for any names besides Benny Monroe.

 

Now that we know he will be the new coach at Ooltewah, here is a few thoughts.

 

Not only is his star running back suspended from school, but sources say he didn't even pass a single class the last nine weeks. All sources say that he more than likely will not even be eligiable due to grades. I say that Benny Monroe will be in contact with his teachers Tuesday afternoon to see if there is any credit that this young man can do.

 

And another thought... Throughout Benny's three title runs he ran with famous Wing-T offense. Will we see that offense being ran at Ooltewah High School next year??

Don't look for Benny to mess up a good offense by going to the boring wing-t.

 

And while we're at it why don't we leave Caldwell's situation to the administration and other officials to determine what lies ahead. No need to speculate on here about stuff for which their is no (official) basis at this point. I'm sure it'll all come out in the wash.

i dont know if he'll come right in and change up the whole system that has worked for these guys since they've been here, i think he'll wnat to keep everything fluid and just put his own tweaks in, it will be hard to teach a team an entire new offense in just one summer if he wants to do that

bad choice for the owls benny was a great coach but hes getting up there in age oh and if that coldwell guy really failed nine classes or whatever he should not be allowed to play at all . Doesnt that mean he failed the grade hes in?

Just a little history lesson.

Benny keeps his stars on the field not matter what. He some how manages to get them out of trouble and keeps their grades up so he can keep them on the field and it's not called accountability.

Look for the Wing-T, he doesn't know anything else.

Linemen, just from history, don't look too hard for that scholarship. Benny's had several backs with scholarships but not many linemen.

 

But, he does win games.

You better hope Caldwell gets his act together. Take him out and it's a whole different Ooltewah team.

Why does everyone think Benny is going to the Wing T. Sure he won titles with it, but he understands the need for change and excitement. You will not see the Wing T at Ooltewah. The spread will still be there, just a few tweaks, it will be fun to watch.

How do you guys know what he is gonna do? Also, Caldwell is gonna get his act together. They got suspended for getting in a fight off school property... Benny is old but this doesn't mean he can't coach anymore! We'll see what happens...

I agree with newballer. I don't expect to see the wing-T next year. Of course all of this is speculation and he may surprise everyone of us. I just don't think he's going to come in and completely change a program that is ready to roll.
