I don't know if it's true or not, one of my sources told me today that a coached is going to be announced in about 10 days.  But like I said, I don't know if that's true or not.

I went to their practice yesterday. They only had about 40 something, mayber 50 something, players out there. But one of the other parents said that they had 72 out their the first day. He said they've got a lot in other sports right now.

The person who told me Crawford hasn't even applied yet is the person who will hire the new coach. But some other people told me not to believe her so I don't know.

Blackman had about 70 out there on Monday. But Wednesday there was a baseball game so the baseball players werent there. Im not sure if Crawford has applied yet, but he has definately been over there to talk to Mrs Vick. I dont really think he has to apply, he knows its his if he wants it. I believe the only thing holding this thing up is the money. Brentwood has deeper pockets. Brentwood starts spring practice on Monday and I cant imagine Coach Crawford going through spring ball and not planning on being there in the fall.

Interviews start on Monday, and Im sure Mrs Vick will call Crawford again before she interviews anybody.

If they want to go outside and get a coach. Ron Gray of Oak Ridge is a great choice. Look at the points he has scored, and ask Riverdale fans, Oak Ridge's offense was clicking that night, granted the Warriors were awesome, but they made an impressive offensive showing.

im not from murfreesboro so i dont know squat about what coach will replace the old one.I just wanna know if blackman is going to have a good team.Its obvious that riverdale will have one.And all of this talk about the pain train turns a little of my attention to oakland.But i havent heard much about blackman.I know they are going to miss locke and meredith.Not taking any credit away from other good players they may have.

Blazer14, I talked to your dad at practice Wednesday and he said something about Crawford only living about 5 minutes from yall. So I don't see why he wouldn't want to come back to the Boro, except for money reasons, since he lives here. Mrs. Vick sounded really excited about the thought of him applying so I agree with you when you say he almost doesn't even have to fill out an application. I think the job is his if he wants it.

I went by Blackman today and watched a little of the practice...mostly just the warmups. Counted 48 players dressed out. It looks like there is material to work with for the new coach, whoever he is.

Jeremy Mimms is still on board at BHS. He is an impressive athlete........great strength and size. And amazing speed. He has great instincts for the game as well. He does live in Lavergne's zone tho.....

Hold on now priceless, Mimms lives right across the street from Blackman now on Fortress. But I guess you could say that that is Riverdale's zone also!

What's the word around here? Did Crawford ever apply? Who is interviewing? You guys gotta know something. I was told that there has been several coaches seen on campus in the last couple of months. (Inclucing Crawford) Were they hiring assitants or were they already interviewing for the head job before Alsup made it official.

hahahahah....good one, blazer!! Glad to hear that Mimms has moved into zone now. He will be one of the best to come out of Blackman of that I am sure.I AM definitely a fan of Mimms and wish him well well except in Week zero.

Mimms is fast and somewhat strong, but he looks funny when he runs. He doesn't run near as smooth as Rico Turner used to. So hopefully he can get better at that, and then he will be a better runner.

I will be completely honest...I always thought that Stembridge was a better runner than Rico.

I agree with you. But both of these guys are some of the most athletic football players I've ever seen.
