This game is going to be another great one. It is going to strengthen the rivalry between the two teams. Both teams could be in a bind from a pitching standpoint. (South Doyle) McClain threw Friday and Holland threw Saturday, so I am going to predict that the Bell kid will pitch or they will pitch by committee. (Farragut) Catapano threw yesterday and I'm not sure if Delmonico will be able to go after his concussion last night. However, no matter who throws for either team, both of these teams can flat out hit the baseball. Farragut has some senior leadership with the bats, while South Doyle is counting on thier young'ns to come through yet again. Nevertheless, both teams are going to come out fighting. Neither team really likes each other and we all know the two schools have some rowdy fans. This game is going to packed! Everyone wants to see these two teams strap up and go at each other. Good luck to both teams...and may the best team win!

This game could go either way...but, if South Doyle hits the ball the way they can they can beat about anyone in state. Should be a good game I kno both teams will be ready.

And if Farragut hits the ball the way they can, they can beat about anyone in the state. Same for Collierville, Houston, Halls, etc. Not much of a point. Anyway, I'd say Farragut had the upper hand even though Tony will not be able to start. South Doyle would have been the clear underdog if Tony was able to play, but since Tony can't play, its closer, but I think Farragut has the history of stepping up when it matters and I don't think its going to abandon them tomorrow night. Farragut wins 6-3.

This is an important game tonight.

The winner secures a regional berth while the loser has to fight back through the loser's bracket.

The winner of tonight's game is also in the enviable position of having to lose twice in the championship game(s). They can rest and set their pitching.

With Halls the likely District 3 champ, winning the tournament and facing the the District 3 runner-up is also a desirable position.

    • Im more of a Basketball follower than football and like I said we play what we have, there is no going and recruiting or even talking kids into transferring…..and to rebut about Memphis teams in finals I’ve watched Memphis East and Penny Hardaway with the enrollment of a single A team play up and dominate any and all challengers for years! They aren’t the only ones either Mike Miller and son at Germantown put together that super team a couple years ago that ran through the rest of the state! Other teams from Memphis or Chatt or Nash or any large populated area pop up and are relevant out of nowhere every year because they get an influx of talent be it from a new coach or AAU affiliations it happens in football also just like any other sport! I hope these two schools that close join together and get to play the team you support, then you may see it differently! I find it funny some of you think recruiting and resources don’t matter . The county schools get very little funding also but you don’t want to get me started on that part!
    • No doubt. ORC a good dude.
    • In a total classless move, Coach Simmons once again shows his true colors. Waits till the day after school is out to let everyone know he is leaving. Fails up to a community college job after a lackluster 2 year span at GH. And do not tell me about the state run that saved a sub .500 season and plenty of whippings by Cookeville and Lebanon.  Looks like the girls job at GH is cursed. Terrible MS program/coaches feeding what is turning out to be a joke of a HS team.
    • I have no idea who your team is, but Memphis and other Shelby Co. schools have hardly made a dent, if you’re talking Game 15 appearances. Outside of a couple by Whitehaven, I can’t recall the last team in a final.
