MD4Sports
Yes, Brentwood won on penalty kicks according to my TSSAA email. What a brutal way to lose a state championship. TSSAA should consider co-champions as the high school rules allow in a final when the game is still tied after the overtime periods. Anyway, congratulations both teams. Way to go Bruins!!!

majik13
An unbelievable red card had Hendersonville playing down a man for 61 minutes. Hendersonville was up during regulation, even though down a man, thanks to a goal from Zach Bolick. Then Brentwood scored tying it up. Hendersonville - still down a man - held Brentwood for two 10-minute overtimes, AND two 5-minute sudden death periods. Jordan Moore made two incredible stops during the PKs, but Brentwood took the winning kick. It was an incredibly exciting game, but Hendersonville definitely proved it was the better of the two teams regardless of the PKs. No way on earth Brentwood could've won that game without their one man advantage for nearly the entire match. WAY TO GO HENDERSONVILLE!!!!! sports24
Congratulations to Hendersonville on a fine season. Tonight's loss does not diminish the fantastic ride you've had and you have nothing to be ashamed of. Looking forward to another great season of Commando soccer next year. That class of 07 is spectacular.

Hendersonville didn't win and Brentwood did. Therefore, Brentwood is the better team. They won tonight when it matters. Brentwood is and will be always the 2005 State Champions. Congratulations, Bruins!

I know they have had a great season to bad their wins against Farragut and Hendersonville were questionable.
sports24
Well there are probably many different opinions on who's the best team, but Brentwood won tonight when it mattered, so we congratulate them. However, we're still very proud of the Commando's season and will welcome them home proudly. All teams that make it to this level are obviously great teams and should be commended. Hendersonville beat Brentwood in regular season while Kelly was away playing with the U-17 national team in Ireland. One of the most telling stats of the state tournament was the number of Hendersonville goals made by different players. They're losing some key players next season - Bolick, Seeley and Ferreira .... possibly Kelly. But the team will remain strong. Look for them at state again in '06.
