Hey 04, chill a little man. Bradley has to earn respect after last year. You, I and everyone associated with BCHS know what went on inside the program last year but people outside looking in only saw a struggling football team.

Let the football team earn the respect. I think they are off to a much better start this year.

haha this isn't basketball or wrestling....no one is saying that you are so bad or anything, thats not the point, its the fact that you say you are so good after a couple scrimmages against chattanooga central and southeast whitfield(one of the worst teams in georgia and bradley lost to them)..and then not to mention all this talk of the highly recruited kentucky qb you guys have who is going to the sec..yet he can't even seem to start for you guys...every little thing you guys have is talked up and exaggerated, that is the only thing people dont like, they aren't saying your team is total crap

Hey you guys, let Bradley be optimistic. I don't think anyone realistically would say they're ready for the State. Its been so long of looking at that bad, a lil' good gives alot of hope. Be patient with us, we'll quieten down after a while. If you're gonna dream, dream BIG, right? Bradley is and will be improved but must continue to get better to be able to play with Oak Ridge and Ooltewah.

here we go again.. lol ok we played southeast whitefield after playing another school for a hour and half . Tell me this how many teams in Middle school, High school, college or even the NFL have to play 2 teams and are expected to beat 2 teams in a matter of  15mins? i dont care if they are good or a bad team.

ok the starters weren't playing that entire time it is a scrimmage, everyone gets to play, and either way you should be able to beat southeast whitfield

Come on now give the guy a little break. He is excited about his schools team and what he thinks they can do this season. Arent we all? And Bradley is going to be a much better team than last year. Will they be great or even good? I dont think so but they have a new coach who i think will turn things around in a few years.

You guys missed the point of what Bradley has been saying all along. They are definitely going to be better this year. I saw them scrimmage too, and they are a decent team, which is something we haven't been able to say about them in a while. The rebuilding process is under way, and 5-5 this year is attainable. I think they will surprise some people. Let the guy talk about his teams progress the same way every one else talks about their team progress. If I didn't want to hear about Ooltewah, I'd be in trouble, you guys sure talk about their progress on every board. I personally like it because I am not a fan of any Chatt. program, so I like the daily updates on here. Since I have been in Chattanooga, I have followed Central, and helped out for the last four years so I know a little more about that school, but I like coming on here and seeing what other schools are doing so I can stop by a practice or Friday night game.

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
