It should be a fun night at the MOC/Blount Co. Jamboree tonight. 2 defending state champs, a flag controversy, County schools dropping Alcoa from their schedule. A good time will be had by all.

Maryville's starting QB ( Derek Hunt ) was injured on our first offensive series ... i don't know how severe , With 2nd string QB Burnette out with back injury , 3rd string QB Taylor Akins is now playing . not the way to start the year .

they said hunt took a major shot from 3 or 4 PF players and on his way back to the huddle collapsed face down. hope he's alright.

that's unfortunate. I don't like hearing about anyone getting injured. Hopefully he'll recover and be able to play against Alcoa.

that would be a major blow for the rebels if he can't go against alcoa. maryville looked somewhat impressive in spurts against DB lastnight, but the QB position is already a question for them, hopefully he'll be fine.

Sorry to here that about Maryville. I know Coach Q or any coach for that matter hates to get someone hurt during a "show" game for the fans. How did WB look? All i saw was the Heritage Greenback quaarter. Heritages D looks good the O shot them selfs in the foot with three fumbles losing two of them. It could have been a better score for HHS!

and the jv put up a vailinte(sp) effort against GP's first team 7-0

 

But the best part was when Brad Walker took the running back competion even though Aloca's rb jumped off sides 5 times brad still took it by a good length.

 

Even though some unnamed coach of a certain team that use to coach at WB a couple of years ago cussed at the WB team and showed a great amount of unsportsmanship after Brad showed up his best player

Oh no not that coach! Yes it was great to see Mr Walker win that. Our very own Josh Seney was right there with walker. I was so happy to see Alcoas man "choke" A coach that has no class what so ever wold do just what he did. Coach you have NO CLASS.
