Has anyone seen Dobyns-Bennett Freshman team this year? I went to one of there scrimmages yesterday against morristown east . . .wow. DB has one of the best freshman team I have seedn in a while. I have a little brother on the team, and have coached alot of the boys in Pee-Wee league, and there are a bunch of good plahyers on both sides of the ball. two great running backs Sylvester, and willis. two big'ol LB Baker, and Bateman, a great WR Brown, and a good QB Crawford.

What do you all have??

Riverdale and Oakland's teams are already off to good starts. Riverdale won 33-7 versus Centennial last night, Oakland won 24-0 versus Blackman. Both should be very good teams and I cant wait till they take the field together thumb

Well Smyrna has a very good freshman team they have a very smash mouth Deffence that is very hard to score on with very strong and fast linebackers that are very hard hitters and a huge deffence of line, once Smyrna freshman get there offence on the roll they will be very much unstopable even with their loss to Lavergne 8 to 14 Smyrna had a lots of turn overs witch put their very impressive deffense on the filed they also have some very impressive recivers that will snag and grab balls out of no were.

Gallatin's freshman have size and speed.  About 40 something strong.  But they have a very tough schedule.

White House cannot be overlooked.  With Calvin Short at the helm, the sky is the limit.

Centennial while only fielding 16 players has the most exciting player in #21.  He is very fast and fun to watch.

INdependence has a freshman team willing to go see...both running back and wide reciver/cornerback get alot of pt on varsity and the quaterback can throw on the run as well as kill you in the pocket...The Lb bench an average of like 200 ..this team is no joke .....

Lavergnes freshman i believe he is their runningback , or he maybe the fullback but Jarvis Hicks. He had no problem running over smyrnas line and secondary last week when i went to watch them play. He was on my middle school team when i played for rock springs middle and at the mid way we found out he wanted to run and could run well and ever since hes been there. He was a gaurd i believe but ever since he's been the tailback he has done great things. He's maybe 5'7 maybe a lil taller or shorter and weights maybe 200 pounds, i could be wrong, just that hes a biggen.

As i do belive smyrna's deffence shut him down for the night with Sean Mckay takeing him down about every play to me and others i talked to it very much seemed and looked like Jarvis had minus yards the whole game?i love Jarvis as an ex player for Smyrna and hopefully we will see his talent put to use at Smyrna high because LHS hasnt figured out his usefull talnets yet.its ashame he had to go to LHS.Hopefully Smyrna will have him next year so he can actually do something.

    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
    • No sir. I watched it specifically and it was very dirty. He cleated the boy on purpose. Apparently, it’s an issue in football as well from what several schools have said. That said, looking forward to a good game 3. ER hit it well in game 2.
    • He is the transfer. 5star spoke on him in their new qb1 series. Didn’t list em as a transfer but I knew the name
    • Gunner Warren was the second starter, freshman. SP #1 arm impressed me last night.
