Camden didn't look too tough against Riverside last night .

They only won because Riverside has no kicking game.

Lewis Co. has a kicking game and will win this game for the region title.

So if Camden didn't look too tough, and still beat Riverside...

And Riverside beat Lewis County...

What does that mean you're saying about Lewis County?

Camden will win, but if Lewis county somehow wins this is how our region would be.

1- Lewis County

2- Camden

3- Riverside

4- Richland

Since Camden is going to win by 2 td's this is how it will turn out.

1- Camden

2- Riverside

3- Lewis County

4- Richland

thanks ekard, i was jw about all that, but i believe that camden will have this one wrapped up, which means they and Riverside will have a home game, and lewis and richland will be traveling some long distances lol

 I was thinking the very same thing....

Camden by 24 (I think if Josh and Byron will give him a chance :thumb: my boy Chili is gonna kick a field goal although we'll always take a touchdown if we can get one ;))

Final standings:

1 Camden

2 Riverside

3 Lewis co

4 Richland

yall may not be able to keep your running backs fresh in this one.

they may have to stay on the field the hole game to stop us.

your only chance is if the refs are wearing you colors again this week.

oh, give me a break. Holding is a penalty and Riverside was holding all night long..and by the way what was the score, I dont think the kicking game would have helped...

Our backs always stay fresh because we have SEVERAL to choose from. Key on Josh, Byron has a big nite. Key on Byron, Leonard and Wilbanks run wild....you can blame the refs if that makes you feel better but we all know that when it really comes down to it the refs never lose the game....you do.

    • Did this happen? Does anyone know? Ripley has their HC job posted on the bulletin board over the weekend.
    • Coalfield definitely isn't the same team they've had the past few years. They are still the favorites to make it out of their region because of their pitching. They have 1 arm that sits low to mid 80s and 2 other arms that are mid to high 70s with good off speed stuff. If you can avoid their top 3 bats in their lineup then you have a shot to beat them. Their 4-9 hitters are average at best. Wartburg's ace was able to shut them down last week in the game Wartburg won 4-2.
    • It is the longest season. Plus, 30 games a year. No Christmas break. I would say basketball is the most time consuming.
    • No movement on Chester? South Gibson? Gibson County?
    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
