Farragut Vs Bearden

The Dogs come to the port of the Admirals after the Cats of OR tore their defense to shreds. Looks like Bearden has their program going in the right direction.

This was a close game during the regular season with the Dogs leading at the half. How do the posters see this game?

I'd say if it works the same in Farragut as it does in Oak Ridge the Bulldogs better bring a great big bone to defend themselves. Could be some real mad sailors out in west Knoxburg.

I would not want to be the team playing Farragut this week. Sounds like Bearden gave Farragut some help in the first meeting though. This rivalry has had some strange games in recent history.

This game reminds me alot of the rematch between OR and FHS in the playoffs last year. Played a close game in the regular season. Talking trash saying they should have won the first time, and the final result was 48-0. I think Farragut is going to make an example out of Bearden. I'm predicting a 3rd round rematch OR vs FHS

I agree very much with you. I think that the Admirals will take care of business against Bearden. I think it will probably be something like 31-7 or 38-7. I think Farragut will be looking for some serious redemption after being embarrassed last week at OR, and I just don't think Bearden has the horses to stay with Farragut for 4 quarters at Farragut.

 

As for a rematch with Oak Ridge, if Farragut is fortunate enough to get past the Ooltewah/DB winner, then I believe the rematch would take place at Farragut judging by the brackets on TSSAA. If so, then I think Farragut would have an outside chance at an upset in the game but I still think OR would win. I just think it would be a reasonably competitive game the 2nd time around.

Check out the brackets on TSSAA. I think the seedings only apply to the first two rounds. According to the brackets on TSSAA, starting with the Qtr Finals the Home team is already set according to the bracket and not the seeding.

Who ever the highest seed is going into the second round will play at home then the top bracket this year will host through the semi's. That would make if Ooltewah upsets DB they will then play at Farragut and the winner between these two would then have home field advantage @ DB, Farragut, or Ooltewah and then the winner from region 3 & 4 would come to play one of us at home thats if we make it that far. Go Region 2 5A!

 

Remember DB came to the ship last year this switches every year.
