To be honest there is prolley so much hype cause they are 11-0 and BEAT A TEAM 91-0 in Week 10....thats prolley why :P

to be honest it's prolly cause they've been beating the brakes off people for the last decade and a half, and dominating, i love that word so much i want to say it again, DOMINATING their opponents no matter if they're private, public, or across state lines, i think its so funny how some of these owl fans(that 99% of the time hate g-ville)r on here pulling for g-ville i love it everybody hates trousdale so much they'd sleep with the enemy just to see us beat, cause them owls sure couldn't get it done :thumb::o

Beating somebody 91-0 is pretty blatant and shows no class whatsoever. Now I understand that you can't just tell the kids not to score, but 91-0 is ridiculous. And bragging about beating a school with that score that hasn't won a game in this millenium (or something like that) really isn't worth bragging about. You beat someone like, let's say... South Pitt 91-0... then you could probably brag a bit.

Yes, you are DOMINATING!!!!!!!! TC is AWSOME. CLINT IS THE MAN!!!!!

NOT!!!! You only play in a Division you are assured of winning.

Stephen Hargis (newspaper editor) said it best. "No other program in the state has taken steps as drastic as Trousdale to avoid private schools. Depending on perspective, the Yellow Jackets were either brilliant or TRUELY YELLOW (lets go with that) by opting to move up two classes to 3A to AVOID (DODGE) all the private schools. Now that the multiplier has been implemented the YELLOW Jackets dropped back to the smallest classification."

They didn't move up two classes...and if you could be in 1a...you would be too. :thumb: You talk about me being closed minded. Geeeee

You are 100% correct. If I had my choice ALL the schools athat are 1A size would play 1A that do not give athletes scholarships. If someone threw a 1.8 multiplier on SC that would make you 4A (I think) How would you like playing 4A opponents every Friday night. Probably as much as we like playing schools twice our size.

    • Never said I thought it was a smart decision. I'm scratching my head at it too.
    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
