thank you scott thomas for ending the RHS streak, glad to see its over with...congrats Oak Ridge...

Don't put that load on one kid. I don't think Thomas missed a block or failed to cover a reciever. He didn't have a good game, but not many of his teammates did either. The effort was there, just not the execution. Oak Ridge's credit, not Thomas' fault.

Exactly. I didn't see Miller breaking any touchdown runs and didn't see the defense getting any turnovers. Anyone that trys to blame this lose on one kid knows squat about football. Great effort by both teams and a great game to attend. I bet there was 12,000 at the game.

Wrong again! Anyone who believes a loss is all on one player's shoulders has never played the game! Teams win ball games and teams lose ball games. Don't go putting a loss all on one player or position. Like everyone else is saying, a QB cannot help you win if he doesn't get the blocking from his line, the proper route execution from his receivers, proper play calling from his coaching staff, and the proper tackling and coverage from his defense! I can't believe anyone who claims to be a football fan would know so little about the game!

 

He did throw two crucial INT's and almost was picked off twice more.

I understand what you're saying 2P, but dreamer boy is trying to lay the whole game on Scott!

hmm Vince Young doesnt seem to believe in this way of play...hmm maybe thats he is GOD at QB...He does whatever it takes to win and leaves the excuses on the sidelines, with the fans...like yourself... B) ...so go take your loss like a man and shh... :D

You obviously have me confused with a Riverdale fan. Quite the opposite. If you read through the Riverdale/Oak Ridge posts, you will see that I don't particularly care for Riverdale and have been picking the Cats to win all week. I just have a real problem with someone putting the whole load on one player. No, not even your precious Vice Young is a one man show. Nobody is.

wrong. One of those inteceptions was with 124 seconds left and down by 17 and was a desperation play. Doesn't even matter. He played as good a game as any RHS player. i was there and saw the game and neither one of you guys was there. What happened to Miller? No TD's? Lots of things didn't go as Rankin would have liked. Who was covering the OR receivers? Not Thomas. My point exactly.

Vince Young is a man among boys and doesnt need help...He finds a way to carry his team...RHS just couldnt handle the pressure...bottomline, they folded up like lawn chairs when the times got rough...

      That would have been Coach Benjamin who was his legal Guardian and the DB coach.  I was the LB's Coach that was barely older than the players (I was going to UT for school and had started at Greeneville since my Sophomore year when Z coached there and he asked me to help coach)

      Going on over a month now and still nothing, rumor mill or not I think a decision needs to be made. Maybe they don’t have anyone wanting it and maybe rumor mill don’t need it they are taking this long to come to an agreement.

      Gibson County proved last year you can win it all with 6 players and if I’m not mistaken they only played 5 in the championship game. I would expect them to be good by end of season but I think losing Hart is a huge loss.  Summer camp gives teams a preview of what to expect and it’s exciting to see where teams are at. The Fillies return 3 starters and the 6th man that is 6’2” and I think she is going to surprise folks this season.
