Congrats to Oak Ridge...you guys played an outstanding game. The 'cats just outplayed us tonight from the opening whistle unitl the end of the game. Just an outstanding game. Good luck in Murfreesboro next week. I'll be there pulling for you guys.

We just weren't able to withstand th emotions at the beginning of the game and some things that have hurt us all year hurt us tonight. The Wildcat O-line played a great game.

The Warriors have had a great season and a great 28 game winning streak. Along the way we've beat some teams we shouldn't have beat...it just didn't happen tonight. Take a little time off and let's go win it all next year.

TDC....what emotions were you talking about??

Everyone comes out sky high against Riverdale and OR was no exception. They had 14 on the board in what seemed like the first 4-5 minutes. We had opportunities but just didn't take advantage. We turned it over 3 or 4 times and I don't believe OR did at all. They just played like a team loaded with experienced seniors. They kept field position to their advantage all night.

That's what happens in football sometimes. :thumb:

priceless,

I just got back from the game. The Cats were pumped and should have scored at least 2 more times and didn't because of some poor decisions on play calling, but they were sky high the entire night and the defense was great. Spencer and revel both had stellar games as did Connor. the OR line played great. Riverdale has a great team but I noticed that some of the big hits early seemed to stun them. Great game by both teams though, I'm glad I was there. See you in the Boro.

You are right...........2 scores so quick does tend to take out the Momentum factor esp after RHS never being in that situation before. I think RHS had 2 fumbles and 2 INTS for a total of 4 Turnovers. OR had none. But I will say that Riverdale's D stood tuff esp when it was 4-1 on the 1 yd line. I was thinking it was going to be 40-0 at the half the way OR charged out of the gate.

I am definitely a Gulmire fan..........I could tell from the radio that the OR crowd was def in the game. They commented calling it a College type atmosphere. I think that is a fantastic atmosphere to play ina nd I sure wish we had it at OHS. They also commented on the physical nature of the OR hits.....esp the one where Spencer laid out Tamar Butler #33 on that great run of his.

    • Best-of-three sectional series vs East Robertson at home starting Wednesday.  They put us out last year at this point.  Go Pirates!!
    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.
    • Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?
    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
