Rankin is a winner and he'll make a championship school even better :D

Yes, and they did it without some key contributors like Lanxter, Shiverdecker, Hicks, Stultz, Hodge, etc. Coach Rankin told some folks recently that the runningback depth is just crazy for a school as small as Alcoa.

Yes, at Catholic Thursday May 18th.

Hopefully I can make this one sense I missed the A-E scrimmage.

Who, started at RB for Alcoa in the A-E scrimmage?.............Actually could someone do a quick run down of the kids that got valuable playing time with the other players still competing in other sports?

Sounds like they did a great job also! ;)

Thanks

Daryl Tate was the Tailback. I was in Alcoa today and the folks I talked to said he has bulked up and looked really good. Alcoa was missing 14 players according to the folks I talked to and they are close to the program. They have a lot of talent at runningback.

Yes we will be very deep at RB. Chris Shiverdecker was an 1,000 rusher last year, FB James Stultz ran for 600 yards, and Jr., Troy Hodge, Jr. Cameron Battles and Sr., Darrell Tate, will all get plenty of carries this year, plus we have a QB that isn't afraid to run either.

Darrell Tate was outstanding at running back during the scrimmage, running through several tackles. Randall Cobb, QB, took his first snap since October. He was a little rusty at first, but as time went on, he developed his rhythm and looked very good. I believe he threw 3 TDs to Brian Sommer, two of which were 40 yds or more. He also looked good on pitches and runs.

Defensively, Rae and Bobby seemed to be everywhere. JD also had some good hits. Alex Green made a couple of good plays, also. Brian had an interception. Alcoa was burned twice on long passing plays, however. Considering we played without both safeties (Lanxter and Thompson), two LBs (Hicks and Hodge), 2 WRs (Lanxter and Thompson), and 5 RBs (Shiverdecker, Hodge, Battle, Stultz, and Hicks), I'd say it was a pretty good day!

Thanks! Great info. How is the depth chart @ QB?

    • The amount of people pooing on UH is crazy. They're a noticably better team than last year when they made state and were competitive , AND they run ruled Eagleville a few weeks ago. Now I understand Eagleville was missing a few guys, but they still. They. Run. Ruled. Eagleville. 1st single A team to run rule Eagleville since when? Pre 2017??
    • If that Yellow Paint is all gone I'll flat bet it didn't wash off there. I bet that took some scrubbing to remove that if it is gone. Lacrosse is one of those northern sports all these misplaced Yankee's that are posion to the community brought in by  (Blount Partnership, ( The Devil) with them so somebody allowed them to paint their markings on the field that cost more than the twenty top people on payroll at Maryville make a year. All this to please the 1% Club and the 25 people that would come to see it. All in the name of WOKE!!!!!!
    • They will probably, struggle
    • Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.
    • What does everyone have in the final 8? In no particular order. 1. Eagleville 2. Gordonsville 3. Greenback 4. Oakdale 5. South Pitt/ East Robertson-- not sure 6. Richland 7. Halls 8. Union City
