what a relief! I have been explaining to my wife that I will have to be listening over the phone at dinner tonight and have been getting the "am I really married to you?" look all night. One problem avoided!

I'm dealing with the same problem. I was informed today we have "dinner plans" tomorrow night at someone's house. I informed her I would be bringing my Walkman. She gave me a look reserved for people in straight jackets.

If she only knew...

that's hysterical...

I can identify. My wife nearly had me committed as I listened to the MBA-BA state championship game a few years back. She couldn't understand my intense stare at a vacant computer screen, as a commentator described a rather pointless game (she's English, bless her) being played by a group of teenagers 800 miles away. So I've got her thinking I'm nuts, as I sit there feeling incredibly old, since I could remember when MBA's quarterback's father led MBA to great things.

Still, a life spent following MBA football is a life well wasted.

For those listening on the radio, per the MBA website:

MBA Football Vs. Trinity High School will be heard in stereo live from Louisville, KY, Sat 8/26 with Pre-game Show beginning at 5:30pm (CDT) and Kickoff at 6pm on FM-105.1 (The Trinity game will be on this one station. Technical issues have forced AM-560 and AM-810 out of the mix since our last update.)

I thought the kick off was 5:30 CDT? Anyway, hope the boys can take care of business today.

    • Glen Morton was the announcer for WGAP.
    • And that needs to go, Charter ,private ,magnet, city and any school that operates differently than pure public schools should be separated. What really needs to be done is address urban and rural. About all the usual powers have access to several kids from other schools period.
    • Sad deal. Hate it. So the coach that kicked her off is now fired??
    • Slightly off topic from a gender standpoint but just observed several boys volleyball games in the Knoxville area for a short spring season. The guys seemed to have a great time. There were several club players on each team but several football, basketball and tennis players involved. Knoxville Catholic, Maryville, Heritage, Knoxville West maybe William Blount had teams. Thanks to Coach Brent Carter from Knoxville Catholic/K2 for getting it together. I’m sure the coaches involved got several laughs trying to coach guys that really had no idea what they were talking about but pretty athletic and competitive. Catholic’s best basketball player told the coach he had played a lot of 2:3 and 1:3:1 but never a 3:3 LOL Maybe it will catch on with some more schools next year.
