No, that wasn't it. It was the depth of Smith County. The Owls were alot deeper than the Tigers. G-ville only plays 16 players. SC played 20. The depth is the reason SC took over!!! :D

Im surprise Gordonsville played that many. They usually play the same 11 players the entire game. Kind of feel sorry for the other 50 kids on the sideline.

Why has no one mentioned those hogs who "work out" at McDonald's? They completely dominated the line of scrimmage the second half. The third quarter yards were like 130 or 40 something to 11. That, my friends, is domination. Anyone who says the better team lost, has not a clue about football. :o

The depth was the major factor, I just mentioned one, there were many throughout the game. Like for instance our O line played alot better in the second half, giving our backs holes to run through. I beleive we also changed defenses as well.

Your close.... but you know what? The Tigers WOULDA won, and Shoulda won if they COULDA scored twenty-two more points :) I said it last week and after last night nothing has changed... SC is the best team the Tigers will play all year... TC,FC and Westmoreland have some talent but they don't have the depth like the Owls.... Little E is in 14th at Bristol :)

Smith County was better. I thought Gordonsville looked better the first quarter, but after that Smith looked better on most every play. I don't know much about coaching football, but I agree with some other comments that Gordonsville just seems entirely to predictable. You could just feel the game turning to Smith County after the first three series. Smith is a good player, but he'll be wore out every week. If they lose again it'll be in the 2nd half.

Superwho..please don't get on here next year and start this again..just admit the best team won and go on with life

I was making a mockery of the people whining about SC's depth. Depth had nothing to do with it. After the first 2 series and the kickoff to open the second half, G-ville had nothing in the tank. Conditioning might have been a factor but depth had absofreakinglutely nothing to do with it!!

Westmoreland has more depth this year than they ever have had. they dressed this year like 70 players. so yeah thats alot. 18 seniors and thats something for a 2A school.

Wouldn't you think the best team would be able to take a snap under center. Never thought that would be the Tigers achillies heal. Once again the Tiger Qb played pretty well for us.

I have no dog in this fight, but this entry caught my eye. We scrimmaged them earlier and I was extremely impressed with Gordanville's QB. He threw a nice ball and was very mobile. The thing that I said the day of our scrimmage was that if they stayed in the shotgun 100% of the time like they did in that scrimmage, it would be a long year. I'm assuming by your statement there must of been some key turnovers in the game.

Gordonsville subed 3 or 4 players till the 4th qtr. Smith Co subed twice that many. I think that is called depth. I'm not whining or making a mockery :thumb:
