Taft vs. Temple

Don't really know much about Taft this year. If they are anything like they have been the past few years they will be very atletic but not very disciplined. Hopefully Temple will continue to play they have been playing especially the defense which is much improved from years past. Temple is doing a great job of balancing the offense with the pass and run, and the defense is doing a great job of stopping the run. If Temple can stay healthy over the next couple of weeks, it could make for a very interesting late season for the Crusaders. Stay focused and remember "One game at a time".

Since you never know what players Taft is going to have from week to week this should be an interesting game. Temple is having its best start ever with 3 wins and no losses. They've basically played the last couple games without one of their best players (Kameron Ridley). So it will be nice to have him back.

Of course, you've got one of the best receivers in the state in Seth Skogen, who has 24 receptions for 618 yards (6 TD's). And you've also got one of the best backs around in Josh Smith, who has 46 carries for 304 yards (3 TD's).

Plus, you have a bunch of other guys that can get the job done on both sides of the ball for the Crusaders: Joey Skogen, Erik Larson, Dee Newson, Joey Shiraef, Justin Walls, and the rest of the awesome line.

I've got confidence in you guys that you will get the win against Taft.

I was planning to go to the movies Saturday night and see The Gridiron Gang... But I could just go down to Temple and see it Friday night! :thumb:

Yeah or you could just go watch your boys get spanked by Hampton. You know whay your problem is, if you can't beat us, you have to find some excuse as to why it didn't happen instead of just saying you know what Temple is just better than us.

    • What did they do this year? Every other year, I’ve gone to one. It’s been a little scrimmage and then a bunch of games like a quarterback throwing challenge, O line versus D line, push-up challenge, etc.    But not surprised, nothing new that the program has been on the decline since they lost their recruiting middle school coach. The baseball coach still does his fair share, but he recruits good baseball players. Not good football players, and decent baseball players, definitely nothing like the middle school coach could do, he left for a middle school job down near Cleveland high school a few years back.
    • Never in my life have I seen a team in a scrimmage against their own defense look so lost and confused. The defense didn’t look much better, the coaching staff can’t keep their anger together, not only with the players but also with their other coaches. I feel awful for those players. None of them look like they wanted or should’ve been out there, but for the grown men on the sidelines acting like fools, it's just embarrassing to the Farragut name and reputation. I now see why they chose not to live stream this on their YouTube channel.
    • We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.
    • I like the Pirates chances. I’ll be there as soon as work allows.
