1. Franklin-They are so well prepared and they play so hard.

2. Hillsboro-Too many athletes not to be good. Horrible attitudes last year. Hope that changes.

3. Independence-Good size, solid gaurd play

4. Overton-Fast, but small

5. Centennial-Should be solid, Kelly's a nice player

6. Ravenwood-Lost there best player, still have some talent

7. Brentwood-Another down year

8. Hickman County-Eager for the move back to AA

9. Hillwood-Unless the new coach finds some more talent.

Franklin will lose a game in the district this year, but they won't blow any games against the lower teams. You can count on Hillsboro to lose at least one or two to a team they should beat because they are so young and have a new coach. Indy, Overton, Centennial, and Ravewood will all beat up on each other for the next few slots. I think it may end up with Centennial and Indy flip-flopped, but Overton always seems to end up fourth so I will keep them there.

The big question will be how does 11AAA do in the region. My guess is no 11AAA team makes the region final again. Whites Creek and Antioch should make it out.

Indy wins it. Franklin and Hillsboro battle it out for third. Indy swept Hillsboro last year and they obviously didn't lose anybody from last year's team. They also played the majority of the season without their best defender, Isaac Baugh. Indy has played together since middle school and went to region last year with no seniors.

Franklin will be top dog until someone beats them out of that spot.

Hillsboro did not have a coach last year and this year they do. They would have been down anyway do the graduation of seven seniors, but what they did have come back did not receive any coaching.

Independence will be pretty good, but just because they have played together since middle school does not make them the team to beat. Count them in for the region tournament, but do not take them against the field to become district champs.

Everyone else will spend the season beating each other up and hoping for a region berth. This will probably be an entertaining year in 11AAA.

how do yall expect Franklin to rebound after losing ALL 3 of their guards? The only starters returning are Batt and Glover and they were only as good as those talented guards last year made them? what do yall thing about that?

BUT i predict INDY in the district against Hillsboro and INDY takin it! good luck to all teams this year!

Franklin has some other good "shooting" guards. A couple of Juniors & Seniors that didn't see much action last year because of what Dante, Derek & Antonio brought to the table. But they won't have nearly the speed of last year so they will have to play very smart with a balanced attack. FHS also has a post player that should excell beyond the talents of Batt & Glover. Question marks are his grades, ankles & ability to stay out of foul trouble.

I predict Indy, Hillsboro & FHS fighting it out for the top three in 11AAA. And I agree that FHS won't make it out of the Region, possibly not even the district. :thumb:

Franklin until someone proves us wrong. Coach Johnson will get Red eligible again and he proved to be an asset the second half of the season last year.

1.Franklin- As close to a factory as 11-AAA gets

2. Indy- Lots of experience, we'll see

3. Overton- Speed Kills...

4. Hillsboro- Has to to better than last years train wreck

5. Centennial- Riding young Kelly

6. Ravenwood- Adjusting to new coach, less talent, but tough minded kids

7. Brentwood- What do they have returning? A good 9th grade group though

8. Hillwood- You can't win the Kentucky Derby with donkeys

9. Hickman Co.- Thankfully, gets to move back down to AA next year

    • Best-of-three sectional series vs East Robertson at home starting Wednesday.  They put us out last year at this point.  Go Pirates!!
    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.

    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
