Is there anyone that can give a real, and well thought out, reason as to why Indy has gone from being talked about like a top-tier team in this region to being treated like the gutter team from last year? Come on people, Indy has lost one game (a very close game) to a very strong Dickson Co. squad whose only loss came to Riverdale.

Because the majority of people feel that Independence is having a fluke season. Sure, they played a soft schedule early, but when they beat Franklin, everybody said it was an accident. When they continued to win games they needed to win, people just continued to say that it was a fluke. Even the AP voters kept Franklin ranked ahead of Indy despite the fact that Indy beat Franklin.

Everybody has been waiting to proclaim Independence as a fraud. So when they go out and come 11 yards away from tying a game against one of the six best teams in the toughest classification in the state of Tennessee--with two backup quarterbacks platooning, no less--everyone (especially in the WilCo) was glad to say, "FRAUD!"

But like Hit'emup said, we'll just go out there and keep winning. Respect isn't important, victories are. Ravenwood proved that last year.

stealing a hambUrger is not a crime, but it is punishable by an administration. it's over and done with, he's served his time, just drop it and move on to the next game.

You know that is a good thought!!!!!!!! Just wanted to give the administration something to think about next time a school sport is envoled.

Okay, let me hopefully start a trend and actually try and break down the game:

Both teams run similar spread offenses, so both have a secondary that knows the technique needed to negate those attacks. However, I will give the receivers for Indy the edge in speed and talent.

Both can run the ball.

I am going to give the offensive and defensive line for Ravenwood the edge in this area.

Cordell is a better passer than Becker, but Becker is a better running threat.

Kicking game favors Raptors.

Where I give the overall edge to Ravenwood is the experience factor. Experience in playing these games routinely in Region 6, and playing at home. Plus, if you use Smyrna as an example of a team that passes the ball effectively as well as runs the ball well, the Raptors passed that test. Smyrna has more talent than Indy, but Indy has better coaching.

That's how I see it.

Indy has a lot of heart, Now Indy remembers what it feels like to lose one. Look for them to come out with a fire under them. I take Indy by 10

Both teams have a lot at stake from here on out...If Indy drops the Brentwood/Ravenwood games they could miss the playoffs. Lots of interesting scenarios but all are solved by winning out. Indy has a terrific team and will continue to earn respect game-by-game. No one thought much of Ravenwood last year either until the won the whole thing.

Was only able to see the Indy/Dickson game on TV this weekend. Concerns for Indy fans should be the number of penalties(14) and overall yards given up by the defense (400+ total) to Dickson. Considering Cordell was out, I thought that Indy's two QB's did a very good job. Ravenwood will bring much more pressure than Dickson on the QB. Key will be Pettigrew and establishing the ground game.

As for Ravenwood, they are playing pretty solid football right now. They have established a good running game with Laidlaw and have a very experienced offensive line. Defense has played well all year...I predict a very close game!

    • Upperman White County both will be loaded. Dyersbirg and South Side will be a handful as well. Getting about that time in about 3 weeks we start watching summer scrimmages. Dyersburg loaded loaded loaded with talent. Most talent ever I have seen in their program.
    • We, SP, blanked them 10-0 in sectional game during 21 season.
    • The amount of people pooing on UH is crazy. They're a noticably better team than last year when they made state and were competitive , AND they run ruled Eagleville a few weeks ago. Now I understand Eagleville was missing a few guys, but they still. They. Run. Ruled. Eagleville. 1st single A team to run rule Eagleville since when? Pre 2017??
    • If that Yellow Paint is all gone I'll flat bet it didn't wash off there. I bet that took some scrubbing to remove that if it is gone. Lacrosse is one of those northern sports all these misplaced Yankee's that are posion to the community brought in by  (Blount Partnership, ( The Devil) with them so somebody allowed them to paint their markings on the field that cost more than the twenty top people on payroll at Maryville make a year. All this to please the 1% Club and the 25 people that would come to see it. All in the name of WOKE!!!!!!
    • They will probably, struggle
