I Love HS Football
Anyone have any predictions on this game? Is Cannon supposed to be somewhat improved from last year? To Owl Fans: I understand that last Friday it was a little cold, I understand that UT/Bama played the next day and some may have went down, and also understand that it was a non-region game against a 1-7 team, but that crowd was a little overwhelming. Between the crowd that band always brings and the little boys that was recognized at halftime, I would be afraid to guess how many fans were left. Could rank up there as an all-time low. I hope it is not a result of the Westmoreland game. If so, it's pretty sad. As far as the game this week, SC is supposed to run away with this one, but those guys on the field need the fan support that they have been accustomed to. With a very challenging playoff season ahead, it needs to start Friday night.

QueenBee
If they didnt' come cause it was cold...stay home this week too, cause it's going to be cold again...the boys don't need to have fans that base their decision on weather... If they didn't come cause the boys lost the week before...Do NOT ever come back... these boys don't need fans that can't support them...win or lose...I can't stand people that won't come to a game because the team lost one...Yes, it's disappointing...but it can't be more disappointing for a fan than it can be for one of those kids... GO OWLS!!!!..... Anyone have any predictions on this game? Is Cannon supposed to be somewhat improved from last year? When our teams play a muffin away, and the other team plays a close game. They stay home and travel the short trip to watch a better game. Thats a drawback having 2 HSs in the same county. Our side was packed Friday night. Cold didnt effect fan crowd. Plus it was homecoming at Gv. Most of your GV haters were there to see WT stomp us. I think your crowd will be back this week. You must be kidding. I really don't think too many over here cared too much one way or the other. No disrespect intended...but I doubt many over here even knew who you played. Gordonsville/Watertown is not exactly a marquee game. SC was at home against a not too distant big rival. I was surprised at the crowd on both sides. oldsc7
Yes I was totally caught off guard by the crowds there Friday night. LA was small and so was SC. SC has the WORST FANS ever known to football. Now granted we do have fans that come to all the games and actually stand up and cheer when something does go well and they cheer throughout the game, but these fans are far and few between. SC fans would rather come to the game and sit on there hands, rather than cheering because they think someone will think different of them for standing up and cheering, WHO CARES what someone else thinks. It is senior night friday night and yes they do play Cannon County who is a up and coming team that is struggling this year, but come out and support our seniors no matter the weather or who we play. BE REAL FANS for once, to SC fans if you want to see real fans go watch Macon County they have awesome fans they are loud and supportive and will actually cheer. Bledsoebtheboys
Well Bledsoe beat Cannon 40-0 and that was the halftime score....Bledsoe put in there 2nd and 3rd string almost the entire second half...Cannon has ALOT of injuries...Smith Co. by 42... I don't expect SC to run it up too much on a depleted CC team. SC had several starters out of the LA game with injuries too. The halftime score of that game was 42-6...and LA is a lot better than CC. I really don't like games like this. I just hope SC can get out of this game healthy.

I was surprised at the crowd on both sides. There was black and gold sprinkled through the crowd. There was SC students in the ceremony at the homecoming. Escorts and small children from Carthage. Hence, familys comes to support and get pictures. Then theres the other group. They just love football. Some never travel. Just watch the local county games. They go to the more competative game being played in the county. Notice I didnt call them faithful. They do help fill the stands at both schools. Thats what Bledsoe's coach was doing is trying to keep everyone healthy for the playoffs and not run up the score on a Bledsoe alumni....Good Luck to both teams, but I don't expect it to be a game by halftime...
