According to the Chattanooga News-Free Press, Mairvul's opponent this week Brainerd has a new U.T. commitment in Cory Hall. Cory says his is not intimidated by going to Mairvul and the Mairvul QB will only have 3 seconds to throw.

If you can get in touch with Scott Riggs ask him how Maryville treated him and Red bank in the playoffs when they bragged about him being a UT commitment

I am assuming that means Mr. Hall rushing the QB. So if he has 3 sec. and the receiver runs a 4.7 sec 40, ....... that will give the receiver time to be 25 yrds down field, with Maryville QB and receivers I think Branerd needs some D1 corners also

Brainerd can play great one week, beat Tyner badly, play badly the next week, lot to Red Bank by about 70. Doubtful they can beat Maryville, but if the "on" team shows it could be closer than some think. Edited November 1, 2006 by Indian

I dont follow Maryville football much, but I saw on scout.com yesterday they have a junior tight end that is 6'6'' 230, that committed to Tennessee

Yeah..that's the Douglas kid. He has relatives up here who played up here at Rhea, lets just say it's an athletic family.

 

Brainerd is scary...they will come out pumped. Maryville will be ready and focused though.

This may not make much sense, but I believe this is alot tougher of a game than Maryville will expect, it may not be reflected in the score, but I still believe Brainerd will go down swingin'....(I didn't mean literally, but that could happen too)

You'll be surprised by those corners. They'll be able to run with Maples and Shiver.

The sports talk show on 99.3 fm said that the kid from Brainerd can't be a committment because Tennessee is not recruiting him. I guess he can walk on if he wants to.

Maryville's WR Maples has committed to UT and so has the Junior TE Douglas (as mentioned above).

 

Remind the Chattanooga people to observe one of the two ways to spell our fair city.. Maryville, or Murvul.
