I agree East will need to protect the football better. Morristown East moved the

ball up & down the field all night against a very good Johnson Co. team. I think

Morristown East defense will be ok, Coach Seal's will get the pass rush going

and he will get the pass defense fixed. The defense may give up some yards

to South passing offense, but you got to score points. Morristown East Defense

has made the plays when needed, to keep teams from scoring points. I think

Morristown East Speed well give Sullivan South some problems. I fell East will

need atleast 28 points to have a chance. Go Canes- Beat South!

Note: If Morristown West & Morristown East both win, The Canes will have

another shot at Morristown West. I hope both teams win, this would be

great for Morristown.

East Speed versus South Air Attack. I look forward to this one. Probably gonna take 30 points or more to win this one.

I agree. And look forward to the trip up to Sullivan Co. East will enjoy playing on a solid field. I'll give my winner and score later in the week. Got to research those Rebs a little....

Will not be able to stop Kurt and those Senior receivers, you'll have to outscore them to beat them. High scoring offense of South will get 28+ I'll have to research ME to see if they got the offense to keep up..

we have the O to score with anybody we play, we just need to hang on to the ball and minimize those yellow flags.

South beat Boone, no problem. Blazers could of played there best game and the score would still remain the same, with South jus playing better. As for this game, Rebels will come out on top again. The Canes' dont have what it takes to compete with the top 2 teams from the MLC, I dont care how much "speed" they have. South will win big again and im going to go ahead and make my prediction...Rebels-35, East-17

Got to research those Rebs a little.... I'm impressed. Your not just going to make a blatant remark but actually intend to analize the situation. We will take that as respect. We are curious in understanding the history of your one field situation. Which school was first? West. But the field is not near either school correct? And, Morrisville has been a boom town for years so why not to afford another field? Especially with your historical success. Also, you have one of our Optimist club stars. He would be a Sophmore RB. His name is Colt Cutshaw. We are curiuous to know if he is a member of the team.

    • Never said I thought it was a smart decision. I'm scratching my head at it too.
    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
