Anybody who thinks that this sounds like a pillow fight didn't see last years' game. More moves than a chess match and some good ol' bone crunchin' hits. There were long marches downfield, two-minute offenses, scrambling QB's and of course the play @ the half (it was Justin Headden who caught the tipped ball in the endzone after a 6 or 7 second qb scramble-and-heave.) That game had a little bit of everything and I see no reason why this one will be any different.

BTW- Besides the offensinve weapons Boyd plays some pretty hard-nosed defense!

Ask last years' seniors if they would have liked to go one more week, even if it did mean going up against Alcoa. Those guys from Alcoa are humans, I've heard, so who knows? Nobody thought Boyd could beat Tyner either.

Safe travel to SC, still hope you lose by 1!

I was at the Tyner vs. Boyd game, I don't think boyd has as many weapons as SC.

The hathaway kid is good but has no speed and he tip toes a lot. Headden is tall but has not made alot of big catches this year, the QB play is very suspect neither is very good. on the Def. side of the ball the Ends are small but the Linebackers are good, and the secondary is not very good at all and the safety has a broke arm and they have give up a lot of deep balls this yearon the corners. This maybe the year of the OWLs.

    • Harriman was better than what I anticipated. They had good skill guys and a QB that’s gonna make a lot of teams look silly. They had some silly pre snap penalties but it’s just spring and I guess that’s expected.    Oneida looks the part. They are big upfront and got a stable of backs that’s gonna carry them this year. They have a few playmakers at receiver also. They have a new receiver that has only played basketball till this year and he is very athletic. The question is can we find a QB to consistently get them the ball. They played 2-3 kids there and none looked great but they didn’t look awful either. The  defense is gonna be tough again but it’s very early and a lot can change between now and the fall.     It was good just to get out and watch some ball. I don’t know if Oneida has the team to win the region this year but just what I saw tonight I think they may be in the conversation come November.
