Now the Shelbyville fans know why I picked Oakland by 13 points. :) I missed by a few points, huh.

Good game tonight both by White Co and Oakland. I was impressed with both teams shooting tonight. Good luck to both teams the rest of the way. Represent this region well. Shelbyville you played hard tonight and Twilley shows he is a ball player. Too bad Emanuel was guarded so good by Wade tonight. You gotta give props to Oakland they had a great game plan and executed it well.

great night of high school basketball, it was really packed at siegel tonight.

i dont think riverdale could have made me any more proud in a losing effort...they were outscored but not outhustled, and thats what matters. you do your job and hope "the ball bounces your way" and thats how the game is played often. white co. is such a good shooting (and passing) team that you sorta have to try and beat them in their style play rather than your own, because of the way the teams match up. i dont like them but they certainly earned more respect from me tonight as they played their hearts out also, and deserved the W, just wished it wasnt for elimination. oh and i feel as if we had a heathly scott, the results would have been different also, but unfortunately i dont guess that matters anymore.

riverdale accomplished just about everything i wanted them to from the preseason...wins over every boro team, wins over every district team, single digit loss column, 20+ wins, not get swept in multi-game series (franklin co. and mceachern, GA were the only teams they played they didnt have wins over but were single game series), win a district championship. on top of that they were tournament champions of 3 of the 4 they played in (2 Christmas tourneys and district, all of which they went undefeated in)...these boys just about did it all, and hats off to them :)

Thanks. No doubt Shelbyville is young and will be back strong next season.

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
