Bulletbob
I dont think M C has the same juice as Riverdale. totally different athletes. What type players do you need? Moore County also doesn't play against teams with the same "juice" as Riverdale does. As far as the wing-t, it is designed for a team with small, yet fast players. Without speed the wing-t is a poor offense, as is all others. Their are many variations of the wing-t, which many people do not understand. The true wing't requires many angle blocks and roll-out bootlegs. This is to take advantage of the above mentioned small, quick linemen. Many coaches do not take advantage of the many options available in the wing-t. Trips, shotgun formations, and many other formations can be utilized while still using the same terminology and blocking schemes in the offensive line. rhs013
All the pop warner teams run it and most of the county think the wing-t is the only offense there is. I think that is why many coaches would not apply to coach in Moore County. Mac does"t even run it any more. I dont think he even did it at Marshall C. Mac has run the wing t to 21 wins the past two years and a birth in state semi-finals.
vols4me
Have they officially named the new coach yet? If not, when are they planning on doing so?
6aFAN
I was wandering the same thing as vols4me. I was told that they were about ready to announce a coaches name before coach Flatt got involved. What happened to the coach they were going to announce? Has he got tired of waiting and moved on? Did he get ticked because Flatt walked in and stole the show? I also agree with Blueboy about the wing-t, I don't think anybody really cares what kind of offense the new coach runs as long as he treats the players with respect and can win football games. Former Coach
Did John Tucker run the wing T? I heard he was next on the list of great coaches. Someone posted on this thread that the Lewis County head coach was interested, does he run the wing T?
apsugov7
How about Mac's old Def coor at Marshall co! (Not Moffett) or His current D-line and o-line coach in Miss. Tim Cole! Both would do great jobs!
drseuss
What is going on with this job, does anyone know? I thought Carlton Flatt was going to take this job. I guess he didn't, so where is the process now?
