Mom's don't look at things like Dad's do, but your right. It is a contact sport and things like that are gonna happen sometimes. He is a big ole boy and he's gonna be a fine football player.

You are right. Moms I am sorry. Please remember when you say ok to your son playing. You are cutting the apron strings. You are accepting the fact he can and most likely will get hurt at some point. All on the field are teenagers. They all at some point will do something that is not mature in a parents mind. Yes mom even your child. They are still learning disipline. Be proud he is out there and not in the streets. There are no referees or pads in the streets. Dont blame the other kids for his injuries. There is a lot expected of them on the field. Things get frustrating at times, and they make poor decisions. Part of the learning process.

There is no way the coaches teach poor sportsmanship. I have watched far to many practices to know this. Its Teenagers being teenagers. When you approve of your boy playing, this you also must accept,,, blameless.

One thing that comes to mind is this, I bet this is the two smallest schools ,enrollment wise thats played for a 1a championship in a very long time. Doing alot of things well.

Pujo,

I did a signature in your honor, but I can't get mine as big as you got yours. How bout sharing your secret. I also want you to know I went on your congrats board for your players and deleted that one I had on there bout you being on the sidelines, kinda as a peace gesture.

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
    • Pirate fans, thread is up on the baseball message board.
