BC, if it is DT & that's a big if, is he the right guy for all that's gone here.

Curious to know what you think about him & others.

He'd be a good fit. He's done a great job at LaVergne and trust me when I say that was a much more challenging situation when he got there then the Marshall Co. job is today. The Tigers have the talent and with the right direction they could be a very tough team to beat in a very short period of time.

I believe they're all good fits, MY CANDIDATES THAT IS, because of their proven track records and the talent that lies in Lewisburg.

I believe that Ward would be a great fit because his system would work down there exactly as Mac's did once he arrived. Ward is a winner which is proven by what he accomplished at Camden, a terrible football program before he arrived, and I couldn't see him doing anything less than that at Marshall Co.

Sharp was a stretch because of his strong ties at Lewis Co. BUT if he did pursue this job I would have to believe that he'd be a top candidate. How couldn't he be with all of the region titles he's won there in the past. His overall winning percentage in Hohenwald pretty much speaks for itself.

I will say it again -- The next coach at MC doesn't reside in the state at this time. Yes they are holding out until a couple finish the playoffs but like I said before this is totally out of respect for these two men since they called and asked for a consideration only after they finish their season. If these two should make it to the 'Boro a decision will have hopefully been made by then.

Rumor has it they want a decision to be made by the first week of December, that way he can be on staff at the start of the 2nd semester. Here again -- Only time will tell .............................. :thumb:

I think you are right. They already know who they want. I heard the same thing that Mctigerfan heard. Some guy coaching out of state but has some ties to Middle Tennessee.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
