Is the player you all keep referring to as "stud" the talented #4 Cavalla O'Neal????? Nicknames just seem to confuse me :ph34r::lol:

 

Yes flowerpaw I believe it was an open & close situation down there. I knew that is what that way once Palmer announced his retirement at Page during the spring. Once I figured out the guy who was coming in it was pretty much all downhill from there ;)

 

 

Yup Stud is O'Neal. Good move bring in his people. Can get more done faster. I'm really hoping this all works out for the Tigers and they return to past form. Just for the record Lavergne "is" in Tennessee right?

If this is the case I just hope he's here for the long haul. Some of these boys are running out of time in their high school careers. All they are going to remember is confusion, disappointment and the regret of never knowing what they could have done in those 4 years if they had the backing of the coaching staff, adminstration and fans. Here's to next year may it be sucessful.

 

 

And yes I do believe Lavergne is in TN.

I am hearing DT and two assistants from Lavergne coming with him including his OC Coach Hester.

 

MC will be much improved. DT is a defensive guy (check his playing days at LC and MTSU). I bet MC's defense will play with a lot better technique and effort than they have the last two years. They will not give up 40pts a game for a third straight year!

 

With Hester coming too I think the offense will be in good hands as well. He has run the spread offense at Lavergne and had good results with A-Rod at QB. I am sure he will have success with Stud running the show at MC.

 

Everyone who plays MC marvels at the athletic ability they see warming up during pregame...I am willing to bet we will all be wowed by their performance in the games in 2007!

Why would Don leave Lavergne? He has a lot of players coming back off of a playoff team. Wouldn't this be a pay cut? Also I had heard Hester wants to be a head coach.......

I don't have a clearcut response there 2P HOWEVER I am reminded of asking myself that exact same question a few years ago when Tim Johnson left Franklin for Giles Co. ;)

I'd be willing to bet that it'll be Jake Morris at quarterback, not Stud. Jake has a lot of talent and is pretty mobile. I just don't think he was quite ready this year to unexpectedly fill the roll Gower left when he went down in the preseason. Jake will be a good quarterback. He is also very mature and a hard worker.

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
