Cap1
Everyone was disappointed with the football season. Every team in 5A with the exception of Smyrna was unhappy how thier season ended. The basketball season has started off a little rocky, but they have put back to back wins together with alot of basketball left to be played. With baketball and baseball, it doesn't matter how you play early in the season. all that matters is how you are playing come tournament time. I believe that they will be in good shape in late February. If they don't go to the state tournament I will still applaud the effort they gave. I'd love it for them to win it all, but these kids need us to stand by them and thier coaches through the losses. Ok…EVERYBODY join in……. Kum Ba Yah my Lord, kum ba yah…
Cougarfan14
From what I have watched this year, the only reason science hill is the top is because they have more weapons. They are not just giving the ball to Omar. As a matter of fact hes not living up to expectations from what I have seen. From the other teams, it seems as you just need to stop one player to beat them. For east it is of course the snapp kid, from Tennessee high its the Layton kid, from Boone id say just put a lot of pressure on them and they will crack. But the transfer is going to get his shots so just stop him. Havent seen DB or any of the others play yet.
VolmanScott
At first I thought I'd hand you the Mo-Ron of the day award for that post. But then I thought maybe I should just play along and be a "True" DB fan. You know, "our coaches are the greatest", "we're #1 in the state", "we're gonna' win state" bla, bla, bla. So here you go........ Never mind that Graham Clark blowes it every time DB gets to the playoffs, I still support him 100%. Who cares if DB is ranked #1 in the state then gets beat in the first round every year. Sure its a little embaressing, and everybody makes fun of us, but Clark is a great coach during regular season. Never mind that Morgan has taken a awsome freshman basketball team and molded them into a team that can't shoot, rebound, block out, shoot foul shots, or stay out of foul trouble. He has taken a team picked to win the Big 9 by just about everybody (not just sportswriters) almost to the celler. Their win over Cherokee last week was called a upset. But like a true DB fan I still support him 100%. He is doing a great job. Actually he is the best coach in east tn. It really doesn't matter if your coach is any good, just say their good and every thing will be all right. Wow, I'd hate to see your posts if you DIDN'T support these coaches 100%. Oh, and I thought you never read the Kingsport Times News?

I don't think you really have to stop Layton,I don't think hes a true scorer,as much as he is a role player forced into a scorer's role. I think to beat TN High you have to score 50 or more points. I guess we'll see tonight
thsballa07
Tonight Tn.High killed Sullivan Central 50-32 and Justin Hess only had like 7 or 8 points so not Hess for President maybe Tresaurer but tonight good Defense held Central to 9 points in the 2nd Half Seymore and Turnball had good offensive night and the defense was great! Go Vikings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Science Hill is good, and everyone else I think is even, and I don't think its a good even. Lots of season to play though, best of luck. SPANKED…is the word that comes to mind when I think about tonight’s game!!!! Game aside…I see now where the rowdy “Central Circus” student section get it from. I think I saw parents being escorted out of the game at lease once by police tonight!! What was that all about? And the cops where almost camped out on the Central side towards the end of the game. That CROW must have been real hard to swallow tonight!!!
lordofthescreens
Best effort by Viking Basketball in recent memory. Central is a good team and the Hess kid is a solid prospect. I now rank the Vikings as the clear # 2 to SHHS. What in the world is the problem at D-B and with Morgan? How do you lose to a 3 - 8 South team which is a shadow of what they were a year ago? Is the absence of Sensibaugh that big of a problem?
Desparate three
I now rank the Vikings as the clear # 2 to SHHS. And what is the vikings record? three losses? so where are they at in the conference? not second!
hessforprez
No excuses from Central, but it might have helped to have our leading scorer playing.

I'm sure that had something to do with the outcome.
