QUOTE(SportsWizard @ Mar 10 2007 - 09:39 AM) 826407173Moore County and Collinwood will both be at state.

ClarkRange and Jackson County will both be at state.

Finals will be ClarkRange and someone, maybe Collinwood.

Dont know what TCA and OS have coming back.

TCA will return 3 starters and having good experience on the bench ready to step in. They went eight deep this year and at some point all eight had double digit games. They have two freshmen post players that will come in and will not lose any of their size.

Lake Co is essentially returning everybody. Gleason has a great coach and will be in the mix to.

QUOTE(jamieroper @ Mar 10 2007 - 09:16 PM) 826407594I forgot to mention a team that has to be one of the favorites in the state next year.

The Forrest Lady Rockets will be back at 'Boro. Bet the farm on it.

They would have done better this year but they ran into a buzz saw named GLEASON.

One last comment. Call me crazy. Most do. Say I am a homer. I am. Say we have to get there first. I agree. But Richland would have had a better chance of beating Gleason than any other team at 'boro. But we did not take care of business to get there so all I can do is whine. And I am good at Whinning. Gleason looked GOOD didn't they!!!!!

Your right jamieroper! on all of it.

Stone Memorial should be very strong next year, depending on how much the players work on individual skills this summer and whether or not the girls can accept their roles for the teams benefit. One thing I noticed in the state tourneys this year is the patience on offense of all teams that won. They didn't just jack up the first look, but waited till they got a great shot. That takes self discipline and TEAM ball. Success isn't measured strictly by how many games you win or your record, but by playing to the potential of the talent that you have. Next year's team has a ton of talent. Look for good things to come.

Gleason beat Collinwood by 2 in overtime. Collinwood had the game won with a last second steal that was negated by an erant timeout call by the officials. So that's quite a comment saying that Richland had a better chance than anybody of beating Gleason. I don't get it. They couldn't get out of their region, which was VERY weak.

In DII, Knox Webb will be the favorite with the best player in any class Glory Johnson leading the way. At 6-3 Faith Dupree gives Webb the best post dou in the state. They don't need much guard play but have enough to repeat. They've knocked us (JPII) out of the state 2 of last 3 years. Glad to see BA's Victoria Dunlap graduate, but will be more glad to see Glory go. She can change a game the way Brendan Wright did for BA for 4 years.
