BigG
QUOTE(PinballWizard @ Apr 1 2007 - 10:23 AM) 826427536Yes sir who did score in that game..and how did Catholic tie Mcminn? From what I heard, McMinn plays a "bunker" style defense. Don't know if this is the case in the Catholic game, though.
The Zon
for catholic: sean leader (pk) and zach zondlo(ricardo) for houston: no.11 hit a free kick that nearly went in but hit off the post and went to no.4 who finshed
Burnt
McMinn doesn't play a bunker style defense..against farragut they actually had several counter-attacks because everybody wasn't down in the box.

wai652231
Gallatin record for tourny 2-1 Knox West on friday night was a joke, playing on a football field is just stupid... thats not real soccer. From experience i know Gallatin plays on a huge field and most of Mid Tn has actual fields to play the soccer games on. It was obvious they had to adjust and never really over came the small field. The score was 2-1, but the Knox West goals were great goals scored by #3 (i think).. he was soild all night. Gallatin beat Mo. west 1-0 (played much better on a REAL field) good game by both sides. Some great saves by Gallatin keeper. Gallatin beat McMinn Co. 2-0... best game of the weekend for G. finally started knocking the ball around, using space, making runs. Two great goals, one off a perfect corner kick headed in by Jimmy. Soild defense, keeper saved PK that never should have been called. THE ANSWER
QUOTE(pseudophobia @ Mar 31 2007 - 06:19 PM) 826427266West came to this game ready to play. They just plain out-hustled Houston. It looked like Houston was having a good time goofing off before the game. I believe that they thought West would simply lye down and get beat. This team appears to be highly motivated and is not to be taken lightly!!! I bet the next team that plays them realizes that they are a very good team!! One thing that is very unfortunate was that number 4 on their team (West)- they called him Cat..?? That kid ducks under any kid who goes up for a header- I saw him do this in the CAK game 3 times and he did it again today to a Houston player. While players may think this is a good decision, this can be extremely dangerous and life threatening. This can not be allowed at any level. Someone will either get hurt by this kid or someone will hurt him for being stupid. The ref in this game was not very good at all! Thsi kind of play MUST be controlled. Nathaniel McElroy #4 and its "KAT" He is a good player i would not call him out like that
BigG
QUOTE(wai652231 @ Apr 1 2007 - 02:17 PM) 826427636Knox West on friday night was a joke, playing on a football field is just stupid... thats not real soccer. Did you play at Knox West? Their field is very hard to play on. Not only is it small, but the edges drop drastically, so any ball played along the lines goes out of bounds. The far corner (left opposite the benches) is the steepest. Our players couldn't even stop the ball on our corner kick... it kept rolling off! One thing for West, though, they do know how to use their field to their advantage. Besides the field, though, Knox West is a top notch team. Very agressive, smart, as well as great footskills. Any news on the Bearden Notre Dame game?

Jpab
QUOTE(The King of the Burbs @ Apr 1 2007 - 04:25 PM) 826427675anyone know about west and mo west? Morristown West finished the tournament 2-1-1. They beat Maryville 1-0 and Knox Catholic 1-0. Lost to Gallatin 0-1. And Tied Knox West 1-1. Morristown West tied the game up with a Paul Lynch free kick right after a free kick goal from Knox West both in the first half. Morristown West couldn't find a second goal. The Knox West versus Morristown West game really showed Morristown West's ball control especially after their heartless performance versus Gallatin.
