Maryville @ Alcoa

Alcoa will still be tough but I can't imagine them being better than last year. Alcoa lost nearly their whole front 7. Alcoa lost several offensive linemen. Alcoa lost a lot of 4 year starters. I think the big difference in this game is Alcoa's offensive line will not be able to handle Maryville's defensive line. Maryville's defensive line whipped Alcoa last year and Alcoa had a senior dominated line. All those boys on the DLine are bigger, stronger and faster this year. Cobb scares me to death. He can throw and run. I just think he will be pressured all night long.

I've said it before...you sir are a class act-can't disagree with your assessment, I just hope for the best and that includes a well played injury free game for both teams.

maryville has won a lot of theese games in the past by virtue of more depth than alcoa. ive said for years if you line up the best 15-20 players on each side you would probably be pretty even but the next 20-30 players have

been heavily in favor of maryville for the past several years. the game being week one just makes this worse for aloca. like rebelron cobb scares me to death, when you have a qb that can run its a different game and he can run with the best of them. that being said if i was alcoa douglas, shiver and burnette would scare me to death also. this should/could be one of the great ones in the history of this game. but maryville will win in the 4th quarter by 10 simply by having more in the tank.

Your last post was the most classless statement I've read on any thread... I wouldn't reply direct because I didn't want to see it written again.....

Thank you because I was going to blast him for that comment................................but I'm sure most Maryville fans already know to ignore this.......................some people

Cobb is key to an Alcoa victory. Without him the passing game takes a big hit. They seem to be deep at RB though the backups are young. The young Alcoa D is going to have to play strong to keep them in the game. Depth for Maryville could decide this outcome. IMO I thinik Maryville has to answer questions at running back(who wants it) and has to establish the O-line. Maryville has the weapons in the passing game if the o-line and the running is there. Should be good game.

Rebel Ron,

I am starting to get worried about STARSNBARS. Is he on a recruiting trip or has his computer crashed? It just doesn't seem like game week without his well thought out diatribes written phonetically.

I'm starting to worry about MLREB.....He's a nice guy in person but he's a mean son of a gun with a keyboard... ...Where are you??????
