Honestly, I just remember standing there in shock (along with everyone else). I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

 

If you do post it make sure you show the class of your team and fans at the end. I am sure it will help people understand how your players could go and do what they did in Georgia last week.

This is a former student for Ridgeland high school and a very good friend of the person who got jump by 10-12 people last Friday night!!!! And yes your start player was there!!! Marsh and number 10 for your team was also there too and many other wearing Ooltewah football and other Ooltewah clothing. So obviously they were from Ooltewah. I want to tell you they did not come to watch the game. They came to start trouble and trouble is what they caused. They taunted our crowds, cheerleaders, players; band everything about Ridgeland they taunted. And the coach has some serious issues because I would make them pay for what they did, you don’t come into someone else house and taunt, you should have respect and class for your school............well now we know what your school is made of......... thugs!!!! And what they did after the game was stupid!! Being escorted out of the game by police and one football coach and parents, they stuck around and jump an innocent man and his sister!!! I mean 10 on one and a girl what kind of bs is that!!!!!! I mean come on; my friend was just trying to take his sister home and then the next thing he knows he is being jumped by thugs!!! Ooltewah thugs!!!!!! If they say they did not do it then why did they run though our school, so if they did not do it why run????? Sounds a little fishy to me!!! But they hit a girl!!!!!! What man just hits a girl for no reason? And I hope the man that hit her gets his. They have been to the doctor all week this week. The boy suffered face damaged and a broken jaw and four teeth knocked out and his sister has a broken nose in two spots!!! All I got to say I how are you going to be a fan of this team. And support them for doing wrong. You have to be a very crazy individual not to think about this and think about what this is doing to your school and your football team. I mean these player are suppose to be role models and if you want your kid to follow that role model then go ahead!!! And your role models are thugs!!! Our school may not be the best or have the most money or have the test scores but I tell you one thing we have something that you don’t and that is PRIDE and respect and that is what makes us Ridgeland and I am proud to have played Ridgeland football but if I were an Ooltewah football player, I would hold my head down if I heard that our senior leaders and rb was involved!!!! So you need to think do you want to support thugs and have in a few years when your kids have followed their roll models and then you get a call and find out your kid is in jail if that what you want then this is the football team to support. And if you think this is funny or whatever then I think that you need to look and see what kind of person you are!!! Just imagine you getting a call on a late night and hearing someone tell you that your TWO kids have been attacked by 10 people and are on the way to the hospital!!!! Tell me how you would feel!!!! And I want to leave with a very good message that I have learned in life and it is PRIDE about youself. So go ahead a support the Owls, but just remember it is not all about winning it is about your character, and your team this year does not have it!!!! But always remember this: no matter what happens WE WILL ALWAY HAVE OUR PRIDE, REMEMBER THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know what I hope for? I hope we could play the game Friday night, with both teams at (or at least close to) 100%. I can't speak for Ooltewah, but I know with TJ Walker (bad ankle) and Cole Lail (broken hand) we will not be completely 100%, but knowing both of those two the way I do, you'll hear no excuses from them. If they are released by doctors, they will be on the field. You'll hear no excuses from me on this either.

 

I hope , regardless of outcome, that both sides will walk off the field on Friday night believing that the outcome was determined by the players and coaches, not the referees.

 

I hope, that both teams spectators will feel the freedom to cheer their hearts out for their teams, without either side acting like jerks or rednecks.

 

I hope, that whoever wins, that when the game is over we all can handle winning or losing in the right manner. What was that old "sportman's creed" that used to hang in my high school gym ... "humble in victory, gracious in defeat."

 

I hope, that us adults would be role models for the young folks there. It's okay to celebrate a victory ... trust me, if the Gov's win this one, I'll be jumping around and high fiving and cheering. It's okay to hate to lose. If Ooltewah wins, I'll be terribly disappointed. But either way, when it's through, I'd like to think I could walk out to the parking lot with the Ooltewah fans, wish 'em good luck the rest of the season, and tell 'em, hopefully we'll see each other again down the road.
