Yep im glad the game is on friday and not thursday cause they wouldnt be playin, so now i guess all we got to figure is how good of shape will they be in.

Lail played with a broken hand against SD and had a good game and everybody in Blount County knows that TJ is fine and will be at full speed.

You guys sound like Alcoa the week before the Maryville game when they had Cobb on crutches and slipping fast.

Just play the game!!! The Govs will win this one by at least 21 points.

Maybe you didnt notice but Cole was not as effective in the 2nd half as he was in the 1st against SD. TJ is only about 75% if you know something i dont know fill me in.

Please never compare us to Alcoa again. 21 pts thats how the team feels also i just hope to see that.

Lail at half speed is better that most at full speed. Sorry about the Alcoa comment but all we heard the week before the game was that Cobb was hurt and would have trouble in the game. He ran like a deer all night!!

I really think the 21 point spread will happen. I think the owls are over rated but if anyone from William Blount is dating someone from down there, you better give them an escort off the field and to the car.

I was wondering when someone was gonna make a comment like that. 21pts could happen but i dont believe WB has ever beaten the owls by more than a TD so that isnt very likely.

Saw the mighty OWLS against a young McMinn County team. The Cherokees gave the Owls all they wanted. The OWLS might be the most over-rated team in East Tennessee. The GOVS win this one by 10pts. The OWLS lose to Farragut and Oak Ridge and finsh 4th in the region. Not as impressive of team for school with 2600+ kids. GO GOVS---------Sounds like the Blount County Sheriff's Department needs to be out in force.

    • Yeah I am on board and plan on coming down from the Ridge for some home games, great Friday night atmosphere there.  I'm really hoping SC can get them back going and have some success for those fans and community.
    • Yep I was field level on the scoreboard end throwing ball with Benny when we had that brief lead. Everybody got very excited but it was short lived as Murvil regrouped and went into machine mode. But yeah,  that hit sounded like the crack of a black powder rifle being fire.  I believe Dozier took one like that as a Soph up at Greeneville after on olay block.
    • Ole Benny boy lol. I forgot about Harder. He was tough as crap. He graduated in ‘09. I went to the OR/Maryville game that year (great game, btw) and he collided with Jacob West (I think was his name) and you could hear it clearly at the top of the visitor bleachers. Man, it was a stick. He could lay some wood son. All those guys were tough, Elliott included.
    • They do have good community support for sure and did when I coached under Z for 4 years. (I was on that staff that turned them around a little from winning 1 game a year to actually being competitive).  Great Kids and Great Community over there.  They have done some good things with the facilities from when i coached too.
    • I personally will not mind that one bit.  It seems like a really strange fit to me from the git go.
