Guest fballgrl
Blitz Softball is looking good. They played in Athens,Tn this weekend and looked good. They have only practice one time and looked very impressive. Freshman Dava Toppins pitched 4 games Saturday and 3 games Sunday. They only have one pitcher though for right now, they are looking for another one. They are based out of Anderson Couty but have players from all over. They lost to the Dodgers 4-3, but that was pretty much it.
Indian
Chattanooga Eagles will have an pretty strong roster-pitchers Meek from Brentwood Academy (UTC), Swafford from Sequatchie County, she'll play a lot in the outfield too (UT-Martin), Elliot from East Ridge, Wright from E-H (Alabama). Catchers Wright from E-H (Tennessee), Bornhoeft from GPS (Tenn Tech), other players Jenny Walker of Soddy-Daisy, Mousey Davis of Chattanooga Central, Katherine Card of Baylor (Tennessee), Gina Sterchi of GPS. I think a girl who was a freshman in college, maybe Virginia Commonwealth (?) and grduated from Brentwood Academy is on the team too. Great talent all the way around, but other teams can say that too. It will be interesting to see which teams gel with players from different schools working together, some for the first time. Guest sportsfan999
After a few second place finishes, Parker Eagles pulled it together this weekend, solid defense, good hitting and the pitching everyone was expecting out of their staff. Chris Williams patience paid off big as he never panicked or got down on the girls as they had trouble focusing defensively in their earlier outings this summer. Parker Eagles back on top where everyone expected them to be. Look out for the Eagles in the NSA Nationals. Great job Chris. It was also good to see Kelly Swafford back out at the park today after her ACL surgery.
