i dont think this one is going to be close. mba will be LUCKY to score on ba's sick defense. ba's offense isnt incredible but it obviously does the job to say the absolute least. lets not forget they put up twenty one points against a very good south carolina team. with an outstanding player in jordan, they will put up points while mba will struggle against the d at brentwood. i just dont think mba can put up points against ba. ba wins in this one by at least twenty one; too much d from ba and mickey jacobs (defensive coordinator mastermind)

Both teams are playing much better than I had anticipated, to tell you the truth. I am very impressed by the job Coach Potter and staff have done with what is, on balance, a very young team. Last night's Ensworth game was the first chance I have had to see MBA play. There really are a lot of similarities between the BA and MBA teams; neither has a true vertical passing attack, both have very strong line play and good running backs, both have stout defenses. MBA seems tohave a better kicking game, and BA needs to get better on kick coverage. BA probably has a bit more depth.

Should be another classic in this rivalry. My guess is that BA squeaks one out, but it's definitely up for grabs. Turnovers or a big special teams play could be the difference.

Lots of very solid teams in DIIAA Middle this year.

Yes it is. BA has a region game Friday against PJPII. Obviously, they are a big favorite, but no team ever thrives by looking past any opponent.

...OK, except Maryville, who only play cupcakes! /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

Note for the hopelessly defensive...only a joke...only a joke!! /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />

I give the nod to BA due to their superior RECRUITING class the last couple of years .

/roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> ..... Jokes .... are always funnier when they're about someone else ... funny to me how you clowns are so infatuated with Maryville when you have MBA coming up .

GO MBA !!! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

I was mocking the thread, not your team. Trust me, my lack of infatuation with Maryville is second to none. Good luck this week against West.

I was surprised by BA's defense last night. How did JP II, who has not won a game this season, score so many points against BA? Don't get me wrong, BA whooped up on JP II, but JP II scored some points that they shouldn't have given their record. They were even tied at 7-7 during the first quarter...

    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.

    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
