ksvols, I still do not see how SC has the easiest road.

SC, Waverly, and Fairview still all have one game against Harpeth and Sycamore left. The only difference is SC has played and lost twice to CW already. Both Waverly and Fairview still have one game left with CW. Fairview plays them at home and Waverly plays them on the road.

SC and Fairview spilt the season series 1-1. Fairview beat Waverly earlier and they still have to play the second time. SC has to go to a couple of tough places to play such as Waverly, MC, and Cheatham not to mention their two games with Hapreth and Sycamore. They already have 5 loses, so they would have to win at Waverly, twice against MC and twice against Cheatham to even have a shot at finishing 7-7, not going to happen.

Fairview would only need a win at Waverly and home against Cheatham to finish 7-7. They also are capable of pulling off an upset at home against CW and maybe finish 8-6. Thats a big maybe.

Like I said before Fairview has easiest road, then SC and then Waverly has the hardest road left for the four seed.

Waverly at MC tonight could go to MC, they have a PG that did not play the first half of the season that makes them a little better and MC always plays better in their gym.

Week from tonight SC travels to Waverly which could keep SC in the race or end their hopes of the 4 seed. If that happens, the 1/29 Fairview @ Waverly game could be for the 4 seed barring any upsets.

waverly won tonight at monkey central puttin them at 4-4 friday we travel to harpeth which will be a really tough game would like for an upset but i honestly dont see it all that much which would put us 4-5, then SC at home which waverly should be able if you look at the last match up between the two which went into OT 5-5, then at cheatham county which waverly can pull out if they can play smart 6-5, the at home for the last time against fairview where i believe the tigers should win with the home crowd because it could be a close game 7-5. the next game is at sycamore which should go to the war eagles 7-6. the final game for the tigers will be at creekwood, waverly was able to beat this team at home when they figured out how to beat the big guys by shooting out side and driving and drawing fouls, if they can do the same there they may be able to end the regular season with a W puting us at 8-6 if the tigers have one too many mistakes tho it will most likely be enough to get beat leaving us 7-7

(yes this post is a little biased but does have great probability)

After tonight, I believe I proved my point on SC being better than both Fairview and Waverly. Fairview got blown away by Harpeth. Waverly barely got by a weak MC team. Cheatham County tonight looked like they could be an upsetter before the tourny and ruin someone's shot at a home game or a 4-5 matchup. SC showed that they could match up with some of the best, although Sycamore had a starter out. SC led for most of the game until the Eagles showed up in the 4th. When the big center, Taylor, got his fouth foul, the game slightly turned to Sycamores favor. They were then able to penetrate the gaps and get to the basket easier. When it came down to the end, SC just didnt have enough to stop them, plus the Eagles shot a great FT% to finish off the game with the score 48-40. And anyone who was there would tell you that the officiating was horrible. They called more walks than they did fouls and some of them walks should have been fouls. But if SC keeps playing out the rest of the season like they did tonight, there is no doubt in my mind they can finish 4 and that would be a huge advantage playing in the cold, tight rim gym of Bill Craig Memorial.

Fans will holler and scream and shout, good things, bad things, idiotic things, as well as downright offensive things. However, if a player can't ignore it, he's not really focused in on the game too well. If it gets too ugly, school officials, security, and the referees can and should remove the offenders. However, players and coaches should not even hear all of the crap coming from the cheap seats. By the way, 'redneck' look up the definition of what a supporter is and then you will see that is an unconditional loyalty. You do not have to agree with everything(ex. playing time, playcalling, substitution patterns, cutting players/keeping players, etc) to still support your teams. I am sure, however, that the coach would prefer your type of 'support' to stay out of the stadium anyways. As for your basketball team, it seems to me that you have a very young squad and with youth comes mistakes, growing pains, etc. I suggest all of you quit using your energy to bicker on a chat board and start concentrating on supporting your school teams.

creekwood student section at cheatham game, 1-15-08 were escorted OUT because of the single player comments and rude behavior. this is the site of district this year and as you can see cheatham county law inforcement will remove those unruly so called fans.

SC went out and executed the game plan. Sycamore missed Guye shooting from the 3 point line as SC let Froedden shoot. The big momentum shift was when Taylor got his fourth. Coach Froedden even told SC players and coaches they deserved it more. He showed some class by taking out Pierre out when he used vulgar language and I give him great respect for him. Also Pierre got in foul trouble as SC drew some nice over the back calls and ect. SC just couldnt come away with it

Harpeth played their most complete game of the season with team play that I haven't seen exhibited since about game 2. Methinks Coach Wilson is getting his point across to these guys. Four Indians in double figures.

Kevin Giltner - 17

Perry Horkins- 16

Trey Carruthers- 11

Steven Dixon- 10

It was 48-18 at half. Final was 75-28.

I certainly wouldn't give this post any credibility. The truth is the officials were horrible and one-sided and Coach Froedden probably just took Pierre out to keep him from punching one of them. They were ridiculous and obviously trying to level the playing field by taking out Sycamore's best player. So what happened is Pierre barely played in the first half and very little until the 4th quarter because of very bad calls on Pierre and the whole team. They pretty much let SC foul Pierre badly without calling anything and didn't allow Pierre to get in arm's reach of SC players. If they would have had Pierre playing in the game the majority of the time without the handcuffs, Sycamore would have beat them by much more. I can only say to anybody going to SC, try not to get frustrated by the bad calls! /ohmy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" />

USPatriot, yes the refs were pathetic, but it wasnt one sided. And pierre played more than what you are making it out to be. Taylor was in the same situation for SC as Pierre was for sycamore. And a couple of calls that you probably wanted under the basket were good calls and Pierre did a little acting job on the side. But the refs were bad both ways and to be honest, Sycamore was lucky Pierre didnt get a T when he used a little language that everyone could hear, even the ref said something about it, so do say it was one sided.

I think the truth is somewhere in between these posts. Officiating did seem poor to most of both teams fans and both coaches appeared unhappy a number of times. Did Pierre use profanity? I couldn't hear but something was certainly said. It is a shame when the referees are not on par. One may have been ill, he wouldn't shake hands or even hold the ball most of the game (he used his elbows). After calling 48 fouls in the girls game maybe they were just plain worn out!

I would say congrats to Sycamore, a win is after all a win.

The highlight though had to be the chile cheese nachos /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

I can agree that there were bad calls made all over the place, but you have to admit some bad calls have a lot more impact than others. Anyway, Pierre did NOT use profanity. He was fouled badly right in front of the one ref and did not get any call and simply stated, perhaps strongly, "Can we get a foul called!" I guarantee you if he had used profanity, these refs would not have held back, he would have been T'd up for sure! You can take that to the bank. Officiating like that is just plain frustrating to players and fans and takes a lot away from the game.

How can you tell me that he didnt use profanity? I was right there and heard it. Yes some calls make bigger impacts but SC had the same type calls Sycamore did so in the end i believe it came out about even. Both teams had a big difference maker in foul trouble. And when it comes to having bigger impact, Taylor had to sit a lot of the 4th which let Sycamore gain momentum to finish the game. Pierre had to be out some in the 1st half but didnt really have a problem with playing in the 2nd. Either way, Sycamore outplayed SC at the end when it counted most. I have strong respect for Sycamore and hope they beat Harpeth. I think they have a great coach that will lead them to many winning seasons for years to come.
