At 103 for Antioch do you mean Brandon Greer?

Kyle Chandler of MLK dropped to 140 for the Hillwood tournament so I wonder of he'll be there for regionals or not. If he stays at 140 there won't be a Mintlow-Chandler show

Everett Colbert of McGavock beat Chandler at the Hillwood tournament 9-3. He's also beat the Hunters Lane kid and Sewar of Antioch, if that's who they have at 140.

 

 

 

Yea, it was a decent match between Colbert and Chandler though. If Chandler stays at 140 we should see this re-match for the region championship

 

 

And...where was Soboun on Saturday? Is he making 103?

Alright, for starters, Antioch has been trying to get into the Ryan tournament for the past two seasons, but as stated in an earlier post, the tournament was full, and unless a team dropped out there was no room. I think this happened to E. Lit as well. I give Glencliff props for the finish. Antioch went to the Dawg Pound to get some different competition, they were tired of beating the same teams over and over. Teams like Siegel, Clarksville NW, Warren Co., Wilson Central, and Riverdale are not usually on our region's schedule. It was fun. Is the Dawg Pound as strong as it used to be, no, but it was still a good tournament. This weekend, I think most of our region will be at Hendersonville. Antioch, and I believe McGavock, will be at Brentwood. Let us know, good luck to everyone.

East Literature won the Hendersonville Tournament on Saturday, Glencliff placed 4th. Don't know where Hunters Lane finished. Several medalists.

Antioch finished 7th at G.P. West Invite. McGavock was also there.

Region medalists at Brentwood

Chris Soboun 3rd 103(def. #4 Wes Foutch of Tullahoma)

Frankie Nuffio 5th 112 (Got screwed three times in the semis against Overton's Hancock)

      If this is true, South Gibson is taking a big chance. Passing on an experienced coach for a guy who has never coached at the high school level is a high risk move, especially in that district and region.

      Jo Byrns was a very solid team last year. Imo, I thought they presented the biggest challenge for us on our path to winning it all last year. I expect them to be in the conversation and one of the final few teams playing in Murfreesboro

      I'm not sure you understand anything if you think DB's career and AD's career are comparable.  This is a terrible take.   Not to slight AD, He was a good player and he got better as he matured after high school.   But Desean had over 8,000 yards in HS and was a two-time Mr. Football.
