QSouth89
Consderin we had a winning year 3 years ago.. We are not West greene or North greene..... but 2-0 so far. Greeneville is wat? yea lost to a under handed Knox Catholic team... the same team this summer that we beat by 20.. without brad.. Beat Greeneville starting 5 this summer to playing around at tusclum.. we didnt have 3 of Starters one of the kids who played never played basketball but 3 times.... but Congrats on the win... You helped us cause Cradic still had his football legs.. but Good luck this season in the imac.. which im callin the cherokee to win it.... What are you on. Chuckey Doak did not play Catholic this summer. They only time we've ever played C-D was 3 years ago at South-Doyle's camp and we won by 26. Get your facts together before posting. The only summer games KCHS varsity team lost were to Carter (1 point) and A-E (5 points). We lost to Union County but we played our J.V team against their varsity. tricitiessportsfan
Are there any IMAC teams playing in the Arby's Classic this year?

noonesfool
Greeneville, and we play Ulbrecht(sp) Germany in the outer Bracket or pig tail as they call it in Wrestling. We have to win to get into the tourney and if we lose we will play another loser and that is that.

Much shorter trip back to Greeneville. I hope that doesn't meen were the sacrificial lamb and we were selected for the round ball Germans to get in. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> Hope Dale Burns (tournament Director) blows this one. dgotgame
Watching the Science Hill/Morristown East game was really painful. So was the final score (95-37). If I had known East was going to get beaten that badly, I wouldn't have made the drive. I feel pretty bad for the players who are out there working really hard like Garrett Cook and Walker Bullington. They just don't have anyone to back them up. When I read in the newspaper Sunday how Coach Sullivan was playing a different game because his tallest player was 6'2", I couldn't help but think, "Whose fault is that?" He's had the opportunity to work with some big men but chose not to do so. It is amazing at how different "size-wise" the team is from last year to this year. I don't know why the big men left or are not playing, but he needs to recruit some in a hurry. It is beginning to look like Coach Sullivan should have stayed in Pigeon Forge. I don't think he is ready for this league. Many more losses like the one Friday night and East's reputation of being the revolving door of coaching might come true and we'll be saying so long in a hurry. Lovewatchinhoops.... Maybe you should check YOUR facts. #1 The head coach's name is WRIGHT. (Sullivan is the freshmen coach). #2 Brian Coy quit so he could become a better football player. #3 The "6'7"" you mention is only 6'5", did not even try out in the spring, transfered to Morrisotown West over the summer, and then transfered back to East 3 days before the season starts....not to mention out of shape. He also was only on the team the privious year under the "project" title. He is a good kid. Just not a basketball player. #4 The IMAC (besides perenniel Greeneville) is not much different than the league he came from. PLEASE post with valid information....not misinformation. cosbybasketball30
if the imac is down i look for cocke county to come in second behind g-ville. i watched cocke co play sullivan central and they looked good. got a lil outa control at times but thats part of bein young. its the best team ive seen them have in years. they will impress some people this year. imagine how good they would be if they went to ANY summer camps this year /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

I do apologize for the error in the coach's name. However, the facts do remain the same. East is definitely NOT going to be the team to beat this year. I don't know who the kid is they are talking about; and, after the things you have said, I hope he is not identified here to save him any embarrassment. However, to me, if a kid is a "project", it is the sign of a truly good coach who can take that kid and make something out of him on the court. Anybody with that kind of height, even at 6'5", seems to be an asset to a team whose tallest player is 6'2", especially if he is a "good" kid. Apparently, Calvin Decker wasn't the coach to do that last year and neither is Coach WRIGHT. I just think it is a shame for the kid.

I'm not making excuses for the loss, because they were equally bad for both teams. On FIVE different occasions they called a foul and when they went to the scorer's table put the foul on the wrong player. One time in particular they called a foul on a kid that was on the BENCH. No excuse for that. REFS, pay attention to the ball game and who commits the foul. I also saw one ref tell both sets of cheerleaders not to flip past half court. Get real buddy, this is why the cheerleaders are there. It's a competition to see which one can flip the farthest. Stick to your day job, because you will never make a living as a referee. Cocke Cty. is a good team, I'm not taking anything away from them. They hustle and battle 'til the end. I just wanted to vent my frustration about the refs. They were really horrible. Not sure you are too credible since you don't even know the Coach's name at Mo East. First of all you need to check his resume. If you ask any knowledgeable coach in East Tennessee about your coach, you will find out he is highly thought of. As far as this year, anytime there is a coaching change you have some player attrition especially if they don't wish to work hard. You have a proven coach who is willing to build a program if people like you would leave him alone. If you question his coaching ability, I suggest you attend a practice and watch him work. East will be in good hands but it will take time. Get rid of the "athletes" that aren't willing to work and work with the young kids that want to play. It will pay off in the long run I bet.
