Hampton vs. South Pitt

I was in the area and was able to catch the Hampton Midway game. It was a decent first half of football. Midway had what I thought was much better skill players, but the line play from Hampton was the mere size difference. Hampton had 2 large lineman, and 1 Buffalo Mountain Black Bear. Hamptons QB of course the Coaches son, was just what you needed him to be, and did it well. He made great reads, and put them into great positions.

 

I don't know what kind of speed that South Pittsburg has but a few friends in Kimball told me that the Pirates had speed like they stole something.

 

Looking forward to Friday night. Those traveling from the beautiful Doe River, look for the man in blue around the Bradley Co Athens area.

mATTER A FACT IN THE MID 80'S AND EARLY 90'S WERE A VER GOOD TEAM. DON'T REALLY KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM!

well as i have said i cannot make a prediction i havnt seen Hampton play.. you have to have a good team to be 13-0 BUT from what i have seen our strentgh on our line and our speed will outlast and prevail....... I saw one poster say he has seen spitt fans say how fast we are.. ummmm i believe teh team's fan's we have played even said more about that....

Being that this is the 4th round of the playoffs, I am sure Hampton is an excellent program. But from what I have seen, they are possibly the 5th best team the Pirates have played all year. Pirates by 30.

the best team spitt has played in my opinion is Tyner. then Gordonsville then Trousdale the FCS in that order including this week. again just an opinion....

ok here it is...... two or three things is gonna hurt Hampton... 1 a long long Bus ride.. its never a good thing.. 2 speed speed and misdirection ..... misdirection and speed is a big lines worse nightmare..... 3 we all know spitt can put long drives together if Hampton want's a scoring frenzy they will never outscore spitt.. in a nut shell I believe spitt win's this one is awesome fashion sending a message to west Tn...... the score--??? who cares , i'll take a 1 point win if it gets us into the championship... again as i have said from day one... it wouldnt suprise me if we won by 30.. im not saying we will of course.. But i do have a small question to those that have seen spitt play this year... how many of you that have seen spitt play this year would it suprise if spitt won by 30??? not me... but who know's thats why they play the game....BUT again I am not saying we will win by 30..
