They were small as a team, they just played with alot of Heart and pride.

Pujo come on. I think Hampton's smallest lineman was bigger than the Pirates' biggest. In the eggnog early? /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

For South Pittsburg fans that live out of the area, I was told today that WEPG's broadcast of the game will be live on the internet. I am not sure where just yet. My guess is either www.southpittsburg.comor http://trinitycable.net/. If I find anything out for sure I will post it.

According to CoachT home page the all championship games will be broadcast online @www.thssn.net. Once on this site then click on Events and Webcasting.

I quit the eggnog about 12 years ago, when I was on the sause,no poster in the state could keep up with me, but then again ,I'd be banned after about 2 posts.

Hampton had 3 big lineman 2 were sophomores, the others were not as big as South Pitts. We were smaller everywhere else. Don't get me wrong, I still think you guys will win by at least 14,and I will be pulling for you hard. You guys are pretty big at some spots ,but you are strong at all of um. I have nothing but praise for you're coaches ,players and fans. Go get yourselves and all of East Tenn a GOLD BALL.

Sure hope this wind isn't the same over in the 'Borro as it has been in West TN these last couple days ...

The stadium should shield us from most of it if there is the same wind over there ...

It's not that cold if you take the wind away ...

Them snot bubbles McKenzie gives South Pitt may just turn into ... SNOTCICLES!!!

I think you need some reading glasses because I never said Hampton was faster that SP. Again, all I am saying is your team is not as fast as people think. Hampton contained your speed pretty well we just wasn??™t able to stop you inside. And as far as your track team goes, im glad they are fast on the track because they sure didn??™t look all that fast on the football field.

Old Pirate says, yes, your right bulldog. SP is not fast or as fast as people think they are.

Hampton can break a long run, fumble almost falldown and still out run the SP DBs to score.

SP is so slow the Hampton coaches "chose" not to kick to them. OP says we SP folks are wearing the rose colored glasses. It's amazes OP how most observers see them differently. They 2 are wearing rose colored glasses. Hope you can make it to Murfreesboro and perhaps the turf will finally help the Pirates persuade others. Nah, just not as fast as people think. OP says it's not hard to contain their speed outside since they seldon attempted the corner. Thay can't pass either so OP is now convinced the Rebels will take this championship back to west Tn. Nah..................................

Your Quote:

SP is not as fast as they like to think "because if they were they would have ran down Hampton's RB down on the long td run. Our tailback had time to fumble the ball pick it up and still get into the end zone."

Sounds like SP is slower than Hampton to this OP.

Either way it goes, it will be well deserved and neither team has anything to be ashamed of.They have both achieved alot. GET UM SOUTH PITT.

You got that right, the two best 1a team will take the field come friday afternoon. What I have heard that South Pitt. likes to run up the gut. Mckenzie loves to stop teams that run up the gut. Also have the speed to stop the run on the outside. Yes this will be the best game to watch but Mckenzie wins by 3, 38 to 35.

    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
    • What is the hold up here? I have not heard anything in weeks. Are they waiting for the right person or is something else going on?
    • Per usual, we'll be hard to beat in the regular season, I'm sure. It's the post season that I'm more worried about, specifically the coaches. Maybe they'll be able to make some adjustments that will keep the momentum in our favor. How's Grays recovery coming along?
    • Something don’t add up here a college coach is not going to turn away a good player they need just because they didn’t get along with their high school coach
    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
