No one can really whine about a fumble that would have been the difference between the JV playing time and one more drive by the starters. Especially since SP was already up 21-0 when it happened. The "fumble" was a huge momentum boost, but SP already had all the momentum at the time, Heck until about 5 minutes left in the game when it was McKenzie's starters vs. South Pitt's JV they always had the momentum. All the fumble did was signify the exact moment when the game went from runaway to a blowout.

Because, as you know Trousdale was good this year, and they only lost three seniors, and one of them missed the whole season due to injury.

I too think the Mighty Yellow Jackets will be contenders in 2008, they'll be LOADED with jrs. 2009 is just about a lock for them to get the GOLD BALL. They should have around 20 seniors that yr. If they're still in 1A. Congrats to the Pirates for a great season.

South Pitt has to be the favorite to win the title in 2008 with the horses they have coming back. #25,#2 and #1 back in the backfield will be huge. Will all depend on how the line develops.

I'll agree that TC will probably be the biggest hurdle next year but I don't think the Pirates will roll over and die for TC.

We haven't in the past. The Pirates and TC have played in the play-offs 5 times and the winner has always won it all. But that is a long time off. Right now, the Pirates are the Champs!
