Everybody and every team in Union Citys district is pulling for Temple. We have heard how great Union City is all year long.

Are you serious? I really believe you don't know what you are talking about, or you're just making things up. Our district and West Tennessee are pulling for UC and Manassas. I certainly will be pulling for Manassas as long as we are not playing them. Go UC and West TN.

Good luck to UC and hopefully ending up at 37-0 .. Temple's only hope is to play a ball control type of game and we all know the Purple & Gold won't let that happen..

Forget about the offense for a minute, UC's pressure full court D will be the difference maker in this one

You Temple folks betta recognize!! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Maybe a dumb question but I am going to risk it...

Would any UC fan get on here and talk reasonably about any possible weaknesses of your team? Anything that you may do adequately, but could do better? Like free throw shooting? Or rebounding? I haven't seen you guys play this year, and you can't be perfect at everything, so I was just curious...

Just to add to what WarMachine stated: UC plays aggressive defense and fast paced offense. They are a good shooting team - from the floor as well as the line. They never seem to tire despite the fast pace. They are well coached by Sisco as well as MJ on the court.

Weaknesses: sometimes streaky with the 3 pointer, not a big team, no player over 6'2" on the entire team.

Of note, there have been lots of comments about holding MJ Brown to a certain low point total. MJ is first and foremost a point guard. He does lead the team in scoring, but I would not call him a scorer. The main thing that he does is make things happen - on offense as well as defense.

Temple was able to hold Brandon Hermon to only 33 points in the district championship game so, yeah, I bet we can hold MJ to just 15... /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

Seriously, the only way Temple wins this one is through Divine intervention.

Look..It don't matter if MJ gets 15 or 40..He will do his thang..MJ looks to pass more than he looks for the shot. MJ may get 15 or under but who is gonna stop the other 9 players that can shoot the ball well..Im sorry but i disagree with everything you said.I say MJ will get 25 or better if the game is kinda close..If the game is out of hand he will probly end up with 15..I say Union City wins BIG..94 63...OH..And if Brandon Hermon got 33 points, Temple didnt hold squat!..U will see the many things MJ brings to the table WED...He can pass, shoot and really take care of the basketball..U will see him rebounding, and taking charges also..And he will have several steals..U WILL SEE!

Good post Atlas!!..Just one thing..UC has a kid named Brandon Easly, and they have him listed at 6'4..Nick Brooks is listed at 6'3..And they have it very close..I'll add this for the Temple fans and players..You already know what UC brings to the table night in and night out..They will press you and swarm you like bees the whole game until its time to call the dogs off..If Temple can break the press the whole game and make their shots they have a chance in this one..UC will run 5 in and 5 out the whole game. They don't get tired..But they have been known to be cold the whole game and still win..Ask Lake Co..UC shot 3 of 26 3's the first game and i think 6 of 32 in the second game and i think 8 of 36 in the third game, but it wont matter because UC has sooo much poise down the stretch they always find a way to win..And it will all start with MJ Brown keeping his team under control. And he has done this sooo many times this year..These guys are hungry and have a heart of a Lion..If Temple pulls this game out it will be WELL DESERVED, and it will take great coaching. Good luck to Temple and Union City and the other 6 teams in the field.

Folks, I will just say this and leave it with your "Temple Fans" until after the game but not only can Union City score from different ways, their defenses will "KILL YOU".

You may only have 6 turnovers in the first quarter but buy the end of the 2nd quarter, you may have 20. The pressure Union City puts on a team will amaze you.

They will be like a boxer, come out set the tempo their way and then go for the knock out PUNCH......

We have played teams this year that are defending 5 & 6 A state champs from Missouri, Georgia and Arkansas, with their stating 5 no smaller than 6'3" on the floor. One of the teams had 4 starters on the floor over 6'7" and their guard was 6'3". We beat them by several points.

No size, quickness, shooting ablility, rebounding etc will out play or do Union City.

We will RUN....RUN......RUN......you down.

I promise that you folks from "EAST" Tennessee have not seen a team like Union City all year and after what we do come Wednesday morning, you will NOT want to see us again. I Promise>>>!!!!!!

    • A little confused.  What charter/prep schools made it to state in Baseball?
    • Fortuitously encountering Clint amidst the ambience of Goodyear this morning sparked an impromptu yet intellectually stimulating conversation, wherein we engaged in a rigorous assessment of prospective candidates for the esteemed role of head football coach. Our discourse, characterized by its spontaneity and depth, led to the formulation of astute observations and discerning judgments regarding the suitability of various individuals for this pivotal position. Allow me to elucidate the fruits of our collaborative contemplation: This commentary endeavors to offer a discerning articulation of my subjective viewpoint, emphasizing a conscientious commitment to maintaining impartiality and refraining from any semblance of derogation directed towards individuals.  Those who possess meritorious qualifications for the esteemed head coaching role, delineated without hierarchical precedence, include: Rennard Woodmore, an esteemed alumnus of the Yellow Jackets, presents a magnificent pedigree, having held prominent positions in head coaching capacities across various regions. His pivotal role as a coordinator for teams contending for state championships further enhances his stature in the realm of football leadership. Kyle Gregory, erstwhile adorned in the resplendent gold insignia, though lacking direct head coaching experience, brings to the fore his invaluable insights garnered as a coordinator for esteemed teams, showcasing an acute understanding of the requisites for triumph whilst attired in the esteemed purple and gold regalia. Steven Jackson, whose contributions transcended mere clipboard duties under the tutelage of Kevin Creasy, emerges as an exceptional candidate for Trousdale County. His prior tenure and triumphs as an assistant coach underscore his suitability for the role. The sole drawback lies in his lack of affiliation with Trousdale County as an alumnus. Brandon Eden's extensive tenure within the chronicles of Trousdale County football, spanning a significant portion of its State Championships, coupled with his successful stints as a coordinator across diverse locales, underscores his candidacy despite a dearth of direct head coaching experience at the high school level. Davy Cothron, while beset by a modest playing career, has emerged as a luminary in offensive strategy, drawing parallels to the transformative appointment of Barker in 2015, thereby warranting consideration for his proven acumen in this realm. Joshua Hackett, notwithstanding his non-alumnus status, has left an indelible imprint across Middle Tennessee, distinguished by his adept curation of formidable defensive units as a coordinator at Watertown, albeit without direct head coaching experience. Kevin Creasy, the epitome of coaching prowess, merits an offer irrespective of his current inclinations, his unparalleled capacity to secure victories transcending geographical and institutional bounds, potentially extending to a role as Director of Schools should it align with his aspirations. Conversely, individuals who have not demonstrably earned the mantle of head coaching, enumerated without sequential precedence, encompass: Brad Waggoner David Barker Paul Pitts Jeremy Pruitt Clint Satterfield Robbie Atwood Wesley Satterfield Ben Johnson BJ West Whom do you all deem most fitting to assume the mantle of the next coach, and what rationale informs your choice? Conversely, whom do you perceive as ill-suited for the role, and what underpins your reasoning for their exclusion?
    • He's a Clinton fan.  But I wouldn't admit that either.
    • Their any schedule out their for team camp?
    • This sums it all up to perfection.
