RendragMD
TN schools Farragut and Dobyns-Bennett faired well in the weekend Palmetto Cup in Columbia SC. The rankings are a pretty fair reflection of where the teams are at this early part of the season. Faragut simply did not score enough points to reach the championship semis-bracket of the Cup but was undefeated capturing 5th place. Faragut defeated SC schools #2 Emerald 6-0, Tied #6 Eastside 1-1, defeated #2 Lexington 2-1 and in the final game beat Cardinal Newman 4-1. DB appears to have vaulted itself atop the NE TN teams (region 1) with it's strong showing (7th overall); A 3-1 victory over Dutch Fork (Patrick Cates 2-time HS all-american), 1-1 ties against SC # 5 North Mytle Beach, SC #8 Brookland-Cayce and shut out the #1 ranked SC Bishop England team that finished as the Palmetto Cup runner-up. A 10-0 victory over Clinton, SC on the way. DB's only full starter from 2007 and premier sophomore David Geno did not play against N.Myrtle or Cayce and just 10 minutes of the Bishop game due to a knee injury. He is expected to play this week. Nashville Panther
Good job overall. I would put MLK in the top 15 of A-AA. Then again they may prefer staying under the radar. Station camp should be a bit higher as well. I agree with the drop in Overton's ranking. McGavock should be about ready to crack the top 30. The USN tournament should be a good one as well. USJ is top 10 but not top 5. I saw them beat the FRA panthers but FRA is in a rebuilding year.
hoofhearted
looks good. I just saw the Hendersonville tournament schedule. It should be a great tournament with great competition.

MustangMid
Madison is gonna have quite a week with no keeper. He picked up a concussion last week and might not be able to play.
noonesfool
I always check the rankings. You do a good job and are always in the ball park.
soccer7
Good job, yet I don't see how a winless Portland team is ranked ahead of 5 teams? Is this a mistake or are they just playing very well against those teams?

Based on what....beat 2 teams neither one of which has a winning record. Over Farragut who is still undefeated and Bearden who, so far has won every game and beaten a very good Christian Brothers team!!! Not to mention they just scored 6 goals against a very good Hendersonville team. Where's the logic??? Please explain....am I missing something here. I would still have Farragut # 1and Bearden a very close #2. Please explain.

cwgsoccer15
it is true portland is winless, but they have also faced some tough competition they opened with a tough tournament with some of the topped ranked teams in AAA and managed to hold there own still. portland lost alot of talent last year also. this year it is hard for them to find the back of the net in my opinion. It is true though 2 question why they are still top ranked i do agree. non the less they are a good team and have improved from the beginning of the season as you can tell.
