Just finished up the first week (4 days) of practice.

Concentrating on fundamentals of blocking and tackling. Alot of drill work/full speed.

Looks like possible I formation on offense with 4-3 on defense.

Heard there has been alot of intensity displayed by the players and coaches.

So, is there any update? Wasn't there supposed to be a scrimmage yesterday? If so, what happened, how did it look ?

Scrimmage/Workday @ Oakland:

1. Obvious it was 5A vs 3A: Oakland had 2.5 times the number of players on the field.

2. SH defense looked pretty good. Some really hard hits and held Oakland pretty well except for a couple big plays.

3. Offensively SH struggled a bit. Offense Line didn't give much protection on pass plays, QB scrambled well; and didn't hold their blocks.

Overall it was a good workday and I'd grade SH with a C+. Got pretty spirited at times and at the end a little tussel between the two teams broke out. Good to see the boys on The HILL with some spit and fire. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Good Luck to both Coach S and Spring Hill this year. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Playing UP against folks will only make you better in the long run. Players do NOT buy into the taunting from other teams and do something really stupid like fighting. It will only hurt YOUR team in the long run as there is the penalty of having to sit the next game out. I do NOT mean you have to take 'stuff' from other teams, because you do not have to. Just saying to play smarter than they are.
